Okay, this is going to show my ignorance about the various camcorder formats. We have a mini-DV camcorder with, of course, about a million little tapes to take to WDW :rotfl: . I know the procedure for still film, because we used to fly with about a million little cans of high-speed film. Now that we have the digital 35 mm camera, we don't need to worry about that. However, I just can't remember if the mini-DV is more like film or not. So, anyone more up on this? Can we just throw the whole kit onto the X-ray conveyor, or do we need to be careful with the tapes, battery, digital camera XD cards, whatever.

Can you tell I'm getting a little frazzled over the upcoming trip? :hyper: My brain just isn't working anymore! :faint: We fly out Sat. early morning!:cool1:

Thanks much--

You will just need to take it out and place it in a separate bin when you go through security. Cards, etc. will be fine.

It will all be fine... in fact, I usually just put it in my carry-on and leave it there... I don't even take it out. It goes through the x-ray just fine. No problems at all.

Most airports require that you take it out and it gets scanned by itself. It's the same for laptops.

Great--thanks! That's what I thought about mini-DV tapes, but I just couldn't remember. You know how it is when the countdown clock goes under 5 days! Plus, it's the end of the semester. Whew!

Now, if I can just get those last 2 papers done, and this little research project, and those stats:scared1: need to be written up, and then I can pack, and make sweatshirts, and print our park itineraries. . .

Ah, life as a student. I'm really going to enjoy this:sunny: vacation! :jumping1:
