Flying with baby

You're such a goober!!! LOL!! Okay sorry just had to.....only 28 days 13 hours 18 minutes and 30 seconds left to leave to pick ya'll up when I posted this!!!!!

I guess I'm in the minority, we've flown a lot with both our kids and we have always been asked to show identification for them. We use their passports as ID even if we're not travelling internationally.

Also, as a previous poster mentioned, you can ask the gate agent if there are any extra seats on the flight. Then you can bring your carseat on for free...it really is the safest place for them to be!

If your birth certificate doesn't make it in time you can also use your baby's shot records. We just flew with SW and my baby was 4 months old. I forgot his bc at the house and panicked that morning. We called SW and they said either would be fine. I couldn't get the peds office to get the info faxed in time for our flight but we did not have any problems. Leaving Orlando they did ask for it and I explained what happened and she was very nice about it. Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

We have flown Southwest twice now with a baby under 2 years old. DD was 11 weeks old on her WDW trip and on our flight down, no one asked for her BC. But they did ask for it on the flight home. We then flew again when she was 15 months old and they asked for her BC both coming and going.

So yeah, if they want to see it even at barely 3 months old then definitely be prepared to show something for your baby! Have a great trip!
