Flying with a Baby - Feeding?

Whether we are home or away I never make up the bottles in advance, we use an Avent formula powder measuring tub and pre measure our 6 scoops of powder into them, sterilise the bottles, boil the water and add to the bottle, let it cool and then when we need them just add the powder. It's much easier and also avoids the waste if Shelby doesn't feel like milk one time.

I presume that you are using Steribottles - I used to keep a box of these in the car for emergencies and I must say that they were ok except that unless you line up the neck of the bottle and the teat / top then they leak and once the teat is on you can't open them again to adjust which was a bit pants. So just watch out for that one.

Never had trouble taking formula powder with us either so I would go with that.

Looks like my Wife has hit the jackpot. She has just cleared the shelf in the local Chemist of Sterilised Bottles. Seems that was about the only place left with any available, so now we have all that we need, bottles and cartons, ready to go!

The holiday strategy completely changes with a baby, as we are finding out, but can't wait to get there!

Take 1 piece of advice. Try the bottles before you go. Ds hated them.

have you tried the bags that are used with the breastfeeding system you attach them to the top of the bottle kit, think Avent make them. when my daughter was feeding when we were over there we sterilised the bottles in the microwave that was in our room, and bought the milk locally.

Not but when your baby can only have one type of milk it can be a complete nightmare. American's do it on UK law as we know people who family members who come over with their favourite things whgich can't be bought here. I don't buy nestle products either which causes a major hoo haa at the parks,

Except that UK law is nothing like as restrictive as regards what can be brought into the EU
