Flying West Jet out of terminal 3

I was wondering if you fly West Jet to Orlando do you clear US Customs in Toronto or Orlando? I hope it's Toronto because when Canada 3000 was in business you had to clear in Orlando, which was horrible.

Going to Orlando, you clear US customs in Toronto. Nothing to do in Orlando, except claim your luggage.

Coming back is a different story though.

As an American colleague of mine always laughed and said that only the US would invade other countries' airports with their Custom desks. That's how I now always remember that flying to the US, I would clear custom at home first. Going home is of course, clearing Canadian custom at Pearson.
