we are flying with virgin this year for the 1st time from Mancherster
wondering how long it will take from landing at MCO to getting our rental car at airport

Count on approx 1 -2 hours. That's including immigration and customs .

it's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question. In 2012 we were in EPCOT after going through immigration, on DME, checking in at the Beach Club, getting changed and walking over - within 2 hours of landing.

Previous year staying at AKL it took over 2 1/2 hours to go through immigration and we were only at AKL about 4 hours after landing.

Couldn't agree more. Last year we arrived and were in our hotel eating dinner 2 hours later. Year before - same flight, almost the same day of year too it took us 2.5hours to get out of the airport. Unfortunately they often have a few international flights landing within a short space of time, if you land just after one then you'll hit a big queue.
