My DF and I will be taking a plane to DisneyWorld. I have not flown since 2000 (before all of these really strick guidelines were put into play) and neither has he.....so we have no idea what is "allowed" in our luggage....and what is allowed as a carry on!!

I remember hearing something about how shampoo and stuff has to be "travel size" and no larger...but what else? I'm kinda stumped what to pack!!! :confused3

I would go on your airlines webside. They are really strickt. I went in Oct. and had to throw out some jelly I bought for DFIL. You can't carry on any liquids.

I agree with princessdisneybelle you can check with your airline.

You can also check the TSA website

DF and I were in Florida in November and we were told we could only carry on liquids (including toothpaste, lotions, shampoos, etc. and I even put my Advil LiquiGels in there - I'm a little overly cautious :lmao: ) in a Ziploc One Quart bag. If you check out this website, you should be able to find everything you need:

http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm

Hope this helps and good luck in the rest of your last minute planning! I should be doing mine right about now, but bronchitis seems to be in the way of my doing that... :sad2:

you can only carry on liquids that are 3.4 ounces or smaller, and they have to be marked on the bottles or they will be thrown away, and the bottles have to be 3.4 ounces or smaller they cannot be a larger bottle with less than 3.4 ounces in it. I travel alot, and it depends on the airport you travel to with how strict they are, one time i was late getting to the airport and couldnt check my bag so i had to carry it on, but i had all my large liquids in it. I tried to pull all the liquids out of my bag and they threw them all away, but when I got there I had forgotten some large ones like shampoo and stuff, so I wouldnt risk it, but I also would never pull them out again and willing let them throw them away.

Thanks y'all!! That website is really helpful!! :) We'll be flying out of New Orleans into Orlando.......it's been a while since I have flown and I'm kinda nervous!!

Ok so now I have a dumb question. :confused3

I can bring all of these liquids as a carry on in small amounts......but how about in my actual luggage that is checked in? Can I have a regular sized bottle of shampoo/conditioner in there??? Or hair spray?

I am looking at the flight website right now and I don't see this mentioned at all!!

Thanks for y'alls help!!! :)

you can take any liquids, even hairspray in your checked backage, of any size, your checked bagage cannot weigh over 50 lbs though. If it does and if you get lucky they will wave the fee, or they will ask you to move something to your carry on, or you will have to pay 25$.

Ok good that makes me feel so much better!! :) Thank you!!!

I really need to get out more!! :rotfl:
