Again-more first time flying with kids questions.... with our Maclaren Quest stroller that folds up nice like an umbrella stroller-are we able to bring that right onto the plane, or does it have to be checked? Just curious since it would be nice to wheel my 2 yr old DD over to baggage claim afterwards while lugging a Britax marathon and my 4 yr old DD in tow....::MickeyMo

I don't think you can take it on board, but you can nearly always get it back at the gate - just ask when you leave it at the gate as you board.

You can take most strollers right up to the gate where you step on to the plane. Be sure you have id on the stroller and get a gate check tag as you board. When you step off the plane, your stroller should be there waiting for you, or on its way. Be sure to fold it up before getting on the plane. Sometimes it will be set up when you get off (be sure to check that its locked into position though as ours wasnt and it started to collapse on my son). This works with all airlines as far as I know.

You can gate check the stroller. DD will have to hop out to go through security, but then she can ride to the gate and down the jetway. Just before entering the actual plane, you fold up the stroller and the crew loads all the strollers/wheelchairs on the plane. When you get off, the stroller will be right there on the jetway waiting for you. Very easy. They will give you a gate check tag to put on the stroller at the gate.
