The last time I flew when I was pregnant was in '99, and they didn't make me go through the XRay machine. Since, 9/11, will they make me or can they just do the same "frisking" they did last time?

And if you have any other helpful tips on flying when pregnant I'm all Ears!

TIA,

Jen

Unless there's something going on somewhere that I'm not aware of, people don't have to pass through any kind of x-ray machine. What you walk through is just a metal detector, so there should be no issues with your pregnancy. Only your baggage (both checked and carry-on) will be x-rayed. In today's environment I doubt you will be allowed to bypass the metal detectors.

You don't go through an xray maching, it is a metal detector.
No harm. ask your doctor to be sure.

Goodness, I am so stupid(and yes, blonde!). I swear I knew they were metal detectors:crazy:

Thank you~

YOU ARE NOT STUPID, to be pregnant and to be concerned is normal. You asked a completely legit question and found out some information at the same time. IMHO, that is pretty smart!!!!
