I was wondering if anyone else will be flying out of Philadelphia this Saturday Dec 6. Because I AM!!!! YIPPEE!!!!

We've flown out of PHL before for MCO, but I'm just curious what airline you're flying and what your price was.

I'm from Northeastern PA and usually fly out of Avoca/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton but when the price is right in Philli, I don't mind the drive.

What is the price of air fair out of Avoca/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton?
We usally fly out of ABE, but they don't offer a direct flight.
This Dec. we are fling out of Newark, NJ. Song operated by Delta is offering a direct flight.

We got Delta with one layover for $182.50 per person roundtrip. I've found that if you wait until about 3 months before departure, they open up flights under $200. We stop in Ohio on the way there and in Atlanta on the way home. We leave on the 12th at 6:30am and get to MCO before noon. We leave MCO on the 18th at around 11:45am and get to AVP by about 5pm. For this past January's trip, I was able to get @$135/person. Whenever it drops below $200, I buy.

Philadelphia isn't worth the drive to us unless I'm saving at least $150. I believe AirTran has web fares right now for my December dates for about $70 each way -- and that's PHL.

I got a package so air/hotel/tickets/transfers was included for $2800 for 9 days/8nights for 2 people. It is more convenient for us to fly out of Philly we are like 15-20 minutes away.

we flew out of baltimore on oct 29 for the halloween party and our flight was non stop on south west airlines we had friends fron the philly area they drove to baltimore it took the 2 hours to drive there but the cost was $69.00 down and $108 back they got price out of philly for about $500 round trip per person so they tought the drive to baltimore was well worth it

We flew out of Philly to MCO nonstop in November on US Air for $167.50, which inxluded all the taxes and fees. We preprinted our boarding passes from home and checked our luggage curbside and had AMPLE time.

The same was not true on the way back where we needed every minute of our time to go through our bag check and security. They seem to have everyone feeding into a central security check at MCO. I was really wishing they had FASTPASS!

That would be us....hopefully....they are calling for some nasty weather Friday and Saturday. We are on US Air at 11:45am!!! Have a safe flight and pixie dust for both of us for good weather!!!!

Usually fly out of Philly but BWI this time.

We fly out of BWI at about 10am...maybe. This weather has me very concerned. My DW is a wreck about it, nothing like turning a 2 hour flight into an 18 hour adventure with DD8 and DD11 while waiting in airports etc..

Heres hoping we all are able to get out of the Northeast on Friday and Saturday.

i flew out of philly this past august for $159 roundtrip. i try to never pay more than $175 if i can avoid it. i am going in june 04 and aug 04 and hope that history will repeat itself. i flew airtran last time and they were okay. i just hated to have to stop on the way back and this time i have 2 kids with me. hopefully when southwest opens their fares for philly, usair will drop significantly as there is no way i am paying $200.

I didn't know Southwest was going to opening out of Philly! Finally someone other then USAir or Airtran! Yeah! I find if you wait too long it is hard to get a good fare out of Philly to MCO...I refuse to have a layover but also try to keep it under $200.00 which is becoming more difficult. I can't see driving to Baltimore unless I'm saving like $300.00.....we might drive next time! But YEAH to some flight options finally!

mep319: last i heard, southwest is slated to begin flying out of philly in may 04. they haven't released their schedules yet but it will be interesting to see what the other airlines (especially) usair do when that happens. i hate having to wait for low fares because i am always afraid that there won't be seats left on the prime flights. this is the first time i am taking 2 small kids away with me so i want to have just the straight thru flights. driving isn't an option for us so i will have to sit on my hands and wait it out. i almost bought the $206 flight from usair but came to my senses. when i got $159 on airtran this year, i bought them about 2 months before my trip and i did have to buy another ticket like 8 days before our trip and they still only charged me $181. hope they release something soon!

We are flying out of Philly in May 04...USAir, $206 pp. It's not great, but it's not bad. Anything under $250 is a deal to me. We live in the Allentown area and LVIA is just too high, plus I'd rather go non-stop.

Don't forget that SWA will be flying out of Philly in April or May 2004! I'm sure you will see a difference in US Air's prices. Keep an eye on it!

Really?? I always hear about the fabulous deals out of LVI w/ Southwest...I have friends that drive from my area (Pottstown/KOP) to there b/c of the deals. I've never been able to figure out when they fly...when I check the website there is never any flights for my dates (I find it strange). It would have to be a REALLY good deal for me to drive up there though!

The problem with SEAL out of LVIA is the times really stink. I looked into SEAL for the time we are going in May, and they didn't depart until 5:30 pm. Plus, a good friend of mine has flown them twice and she said they are always delayed, and they always ended up sitting on the runway forever. I asked her advice on flying them, and she said for her, never again. I'd rather pay a little more and get the times that I want. JMO.
