Flying out of Cleveland

I know my trip isn't for 375 days (not that I'm counting), and I can't even book my airfare yet, but here's my question.

It is significantly cheaper for me to fly out of either Pittsburgh or Cleveland then Erie, and since Cleveland is a direct flight that would be my first choice. We would like to drive down the night before and stay at a hotel so we could fly out early in the morning. I've heard rumors that there are hotels that allow you to leave your car in their lot and shuttle you to the airport. I've been looking around on-line but can't find any hotels that advertise this. Does anyone know if this is true.

We have stayed at the Ramada Cleveland Airport West twice and were pleased with it. It isn't really fancy on the outside but the rooms have been recently remodeled. The offer a park, sleep and fly option. We just parked our car behind the building where they told us to and then a shuttle took us to the airport in the morning. This hotel also has a pretty good breakfast selection included in the price. I am not exactly sure what the rate was but I am thinking it was around 80.00-90.00 for the night and a week of parking.
It was also pretty close the airport but I didn't hear any jet noise. We stayed at a similar hotel in Detroit and the jets sounded like they were taking off and landing in the parking lot.
Anyhow, when we got back to Cleveland I think we either called a number they had given us or we met the shuttle at a certain area at the airport and then they took us back to our car at the hotel. My husband said he booked it through a website called Park-Sleep-n-Fly.

Don't rule out Buffalo, SW flies non-stop from BUF to MCO you might be able to get a good deal from there too, and depending on where in the Erie area you are, it's not much further than Clevland.

Being a Clevelander I would be happy to help you. There are a number of hotels near by that will offer "park and fly" rates. The one closes to the airport is the Sheraton Inn which is on airport property. I have stayed there and it is a nice hotel. There is also a red roof in that is located about 10 miles from the airport and they at one time did offer the park and fly rate. It is located in Middleburg Hghts. There is also a Courtyard in Middleburg that offers shuttle service.
There is a brand new LaQuinta that just open less than a year ago that is located at North Olmsted and it to is about 12 miles from the airport.

Have you check the flight prices out of Akron. Although I live in Cleveland we have found better flight prices out of Akron and in fact the last 4 trips I have taken have been out of Akron. It is great airport. The last trip I took this past winter I parked my car, rode the shuttle, checked in, got throught security and was at my gate in less than 30 minutes after I parked the car! It is super easy to get to.
The distance from Cleveland to Akron airport is only 45 minutes.
Just looked at mapquest and your trip time from Erie to Cleveland Hopkins is 2 hrs. but Erie to Akron Canton airport is 2 hrs and 25 mins.

Wanted to add one more thing about booking a hotel that has a park and fly package. Usually the hotel doesn't offer the option to book this package online so you will need to call the hotel directly and ask for their park and fly rate.

I know the Hampton by PIT offers "park stay and go" online. I checked for my December date, it's $144 vs $139 for just the room.

I live in the Cleveland area, but just booked our flights out of Pittsburgh for March. The prices were a lot cheaper than Akron or Cleveland. We are from Pittsburgh so we don't mind the short drive.
