Has anyone flow out of Atlantic City Airport recently? Are flight take off at 7:00 am and they tell me do be there 3 hours before. Is that true. What time did you arrive before your flight.
We have flown out of Atlantic City, mostly my husband has. I can't imagine why you would need to be there 3 hours ahead of time. Especially that early in the morning. Do you think the AC Airport will be crowded at 5 am? Most travelers that early are business people. The airline has to tell you that because of all the luggage searching, etc. going on now. My DH flies out of Philadelphia weekly and he has never arrived 3 hours before departure. He says 2 hours before to be on the safe side " IF " traveling with family and lots of luggage, and this is out of Philly. He doesn't usually check in luggage (travels with over night bag, laptop, etc.). AC Airport is not like PHL, and IMHO, 2 hours should give you plenty of time. We live in Washington Township (we are neighbors!). I can't see getting there before 5 am. I think you will not only be tired, but have a very long wait before departure. Check in of course takes longer which is a good thing. But considering this is AC airport, 2 hours should give you time to use the bathrooms, buy magazines (maybe read one), snacks, etc. Have a Great trip!
We've flown spirit a lot and always gotten there around 6 am for the 7 am flight and never had a problem (This was before the tighter security) We are flying on Mar 31 and plan on getting there around 5:45am. I also called Spirit and they told me they don't open until 5 am, so I wouldn't get there too early.
