Flying into Sanford?

SIL is thinkign of flying Allegiant Air and it flies into Sanford not orlando Int. Anyone know how far it is from there to WDW?

50 t0 60 miles depending on the resort you are staying in.

We made it in about 40-45 min. We love that airport. It's very small and easy to get through very quickly.

Orlando-Sanford International Airport is a decent choice for people who would rent a car anyway. You'd have a longer drive that if use Orlando International, but you might even recover some of that time because you'd be using a smaller, "faster" airport.

For people who don't rent cars anyway, Orlando-Sanford is not such good news. It's not served by Disney's Magical Express. Towncars and limos between Orlando-Sanford and WDW are much more expensive than between Orlando International and WDW. That makes sense when you consider that Orlando-Sanford is much further away.

We're flying into Sanford on May 29th for the first time and we got an excellent deal on a rental car for 9 days from Dollar so we're good to go!!!

First time flying in to Sanford for us going May 23. Have a great rate on a rental car, just renting for one day droping off at Swan-Dolphin. Ten days later pick up car from Swan-Dolphin return at Sanford. I think we are paying $50 both ways....
