Flying into Miami- hotel and transfers before cruise?

Forgive me if this has been asked- I tried to do a search and couldn't find what I was looking for.

We are flying in Miami the night before our cruise in December and need to find a hotel- Wondering if anyone has suggestions? Would love to find one with airport to hotel transfers and also possibly hotel to port transfers.

If the hotel doesn't provide the transfers- what did you use to get to the port and what time should we leave in the am? First time cruising out of Miami and first time cruising with DH and dd so I want to make sure I get things organized!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami the night before our cruise (got there by taxi from the airport) - the room was smallish, but the location was great. There is a nice shopping area across the street with restaurants/bars, etc. We took a taxi from the hotel to the port the morning of the cruise - the hotel called one for us. It was quick and easy (less then 10 min ride), I forget the cost but it was minimal.

One thing to add - after breakfast we walked over to the shopping area again the morning of the cruise, and we could see the ship docked in the port. Kids got a huge kick out of that!

I'm staying at the Comfort Suites (Miami Airport North) next month (November 14th). I've read many positive reviews, so I'm anticipating a good stay. They have a free shuttle to/from the airport. They also have a shuttle to the cruise port.....

we stayed there and it was very convenient and good value. Joined their loyalty club and got two free drink tickets. If we had an evening arrival we'd stay there again. Next trip though I am hoping for an earlier flight and some beach time.

We are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown the night before our November 29th cruise. We will be in WDW the week before and coming down from there so I am not sure about airport transfers, but the hotel has good reviews. My DH booked it, and he got a rate that included the shuttle the next morning to the port for all of us that wasn't too terrible.
