Hi there,
This is my first question on the board so am not 100% sure how this works.
We are planning on going to Disney this August and are planning on flying in the day before (Sat.) as the flights that occur the day our vacation starts (Sun.) are later in the day (dont want to waste it). Does anyone have any suggestions on how this would work/ done before. Are there motels that have shuttle service or whatnot? Also, if we want to use the Magic Express on the way home can we, or can you only do a round trip?
If anyone has info. on this please let me know. Thanks a bunch!

if it were late late, like midnight... we would sleep in the airport and take the 1st magic express in the morning.

If we got in like at 7 or 8...that is the only time I may consider a disney value resort

All guests who stay on property are allowed one trip each way on ME. So you can use it both ways.

There are a few ways of doing this.

You can stay at the Hyatt in the airport for one night; they have a paid service that helps you get your luggage over to ME. You choose a flight that arrives that morning for the time you would like to pick up ME.

You can also choose a value resort for one night as a room only. Then you can transfer to your regular resort the next day; Disney will move your lugggage for you.

On the way back, you use your regular flight number and a bus will be assigned for pick up at your resort 3 hours prior to flight departure.

We got in at 10pm and have stayed at a Value, got our own lugguage, so we could have it, then transfered to our DVC resort via a cab.

Yes what Missytara says!

Because we live on the West coast, are DVC members, and arrive late in the day, 5-6:30 pm we sometimes check in to a Moderate or Value resort and then have Disney/Bell sevices move us to our DVC Villa the next day. I check in early at the Villas and either take the room they have ready or wait for what we chose when we made the DVC ressies. We get to experience the Value and Moderate resorts this way and eat at places we normally wouldn't.:yay:

Plus it's a great way to give the mouse some more of our Money.

There are motels near the airport with shuttle service. Some are listed on an illuminated bulletin board with telephone handsets located in the baggage claim area. Be sure to ask about the shuttle service when you call.

Check airline booking web pages to find a flight (any airline) arriving in the morning at about the time you are ready to take Magical Express to Disney. The DME reservationist may or may not ask for this.

If DME going home doesn't come out quite right, wait until you get there to get it finalized. Usually you can do this at the DME welcoming area; if not, do it at your resort at least 2 days before checkout.

DME can be one way or round trip, whichever you need.
