Flying home day AFTER Thanksgiving...?

Just made plans for a Disney trip next Thanksgiving and I scheduled it so that we'll fly home the day after Thanksgiving...figuring that air travel might be a bit less hectic than that Sat. or Sun.

Does anyone have any comments on this? Has anyone flown the day after and how does it compare?

I've never done but my gut instint tells me that it would be one of the less busy days for that holiday weekend.

Anyone know for sure?

I agree with Trekker. It would be the weekend that would be busy especially Sunday.

We usually fly into Orlando on the day after Thanksgiving and haven't found the airports to be too busy - especially not compared to the crowds we've found on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

I've been researching that weekend too. We are trying to fly in on Thanksgiving day. Thank goodness we make that decision, because the prices on Saturday are 2 1/2 times the price!

I haven't been in Orlando during Thanksgiving but, I often travel the day after Thanksgiving and it has always been a light travel day.
