We have been to WDW 10 times, and every time we have driven.

Things have changed, and we want to fly this year. I fly very rarely (less than 10 times in my life) so the process makes me nervous - I've only flown outside Canada twice.

Pricing non-stop Air Canada (Toronto to Orlando) return for our dates (August 10-25) I get $494 all in except the baggage fees. Is that good, bad, average? We could save $50 each on the way home with a stopover in Chicago, but that would just make me more nervous! (It's the process - customs etc - not flying - that makes me nervous).

And I know a lot of people get really good deals flying out of Buffalo, but I can't find anything cheaper than this, and it would actually cost me more because I'd have to drive to Buffalo and then pay to park for 2 weeks.

Any help pointing me in the direction of a website, or what kind of rate I should be looking for, or any help at all would be great!!

West jet not giving you a better price ? I am in NL so my flight cost is crazy. Ac is my only option because WJ stops flying Oct. 24th. AC flight prices are all over the place. I found a $293 one way and grabbed that because that is great from NL to Toronto then on to Orlando. That same flight has been mostly around $415 lately. The night it dropped it wasn't down there very long. I am only seeing around $456 for our return flight so have not booked yet. We go in Oct.

Westjet is the same price. I found Canjet through AirTransat for about $20 more each, but free checked baggage and better flight times.

Southwest has some for your dates in the $150/each way range (so $300) not sure how many in your family that but is $200 less than your AC flight per person.

Google park sleep fly buffalo. The hotels there will keep your car for you for a nominal fee, you just have to stay once before or after. Or, park in the airport lot there, a week is about the same cost as a day in Toronto! It's very easy and just as fast for us due to already pre-clearing customs before you fly...

We flew Canjet thru Air Transat last October. The cheapest we saw our flights for were $396/person. We always aim for $1200 for the three of us. We flew Air Canada in April because they were cheapest and we didn't want a Sun-Sun vacation (which is all Air Transat had). Sunwing is another cheaper one.

I like flying Air Canada or Westjet best as they have more room. Canjet was like a jar of sardines. We also fly carryon only, so the AC fees don't bother us.

One other thing about AC, is you can do online checkin and print your boarding passes and luggage tags before you go to the airport. It was so nice to just go straight to security, and you don't have to go to the airport so early. It took us 40mins to walk from our parking spot to sitting in the boarding area. We passed the Sunwing area and the lineup just to check in was enormous! I was so glad we went with AC.

Thanks to everyone for your responses! I'm leaning towards going to Buffalo - there are 5 of us so the above Southwest amounts are still more than driving, and I like the idea of clearing customs in Fort Erie in the car.

It seems the prices I'm seeing are not crazy? I had also seen Canjet for a bit less than Air Canada, but not better times. Southwest is the middle of the day instead of late night.

Definitely they are higher we are paying $91 each way for Sept.

But from Toronto you are looking at almost $2500, Buffalo is $1500.

OP, where are you in Ontario? Depending on where you live, you might also want to check prices on JetBlue from Syracuse (they offer non-stop flights to Orlando too :thumbsup2 ). We live in Southeastern Ontario and its closer for us to fly out of Syracuse rather than Buffalo (though we have flown out of both airports). Much cheaper out of either than out of Toronto!

Yup im coming out with the same price as you for our november trip flying out of pearson. wish it was cheaper :scratchin

I just checked kayak and if your close to buffalo i just found a roundtrip flight for 4 for $1150 on united airlines with one stop in washington dc compared to nearly $1900 flyng out of toronto on air canada. Although were 1 and 1/2 hours away for $800 i think its worth it

I am just east of Toronto...I work in downtown Toronto. Syracuse looks a couple of hours past Buffalo which wouldn't be bad if i could get $91 each way! There are 5 of us. I will look at kayak and United. We are getting the cost down there. The flights with Southwest would allow us to just park and fly, not sleep in Buffalo, which I prefer. Thanks! I really appreciate the help! We just bought our tickets from UT so we're going...yahoo!!!!

Buffalo is definitely a better option for you then, based on your location alone.

And I just checked JetBlue's prices for your dates out of Syracuse, and they're terrible :faint: . So it all works out in the end! :)

Also you mentioned the parking. We always park at long term at Buffalo International & it's only $55 for the week(at least it was in October) & to park at Pearson it is $90 for the first 8 days & then $18 per day after to park. I vote for Buffalo. :)

Thanks...I looked into this and you're right....$114 at Buffalo to park for our whole trip. We would take an airport limo to Pearson, not park, and that would be $250 return. So Buffalo comes out ahead even when I add in gas. And crossing the border driving is more appealing to me. Thanks for pointing this out!

I've been looking for flights for December, and I agree, the prices are crazy.. the cheapest flights I've found are southwest out of buffalo, I've also heard that aligient out of niagara falls(not buffalo) is cheap. Also sunwing out of toronto is cheap, but they fly out at 6:30 in the morning (which I'm unwilling to do because I have a 2 and 4 year old...and live an hour away from Pearson). Have you tried flying out of hamilton? when I looked it was cheaper than Pearson. Also, southwest includes baggage, where air canada doesn't...

I believe Allegiant flies into Orlando/Sanford airport as well.

I believe Allegiant flies into Orlando/Sanford airport as well.

It does however to get from that airport you would either have to cab it or rent a car as DME is only available from MCO. Also Allegiant does not fly into MCO.
