Flying from Orlando on Southwest?

Okay from another post I see that flying to Orlando is not really a problem using Southwest. I have some concern about pre-boarding with two nervous children, (could an adult hold sets for three of us or are people "nice about moving once they have a seat/)
BUT
What is traveling from Orlando like? I know nothing about the airport and we will be returning home(to BWI) the Friday before Christmas. I already know this is going to be a very trying experience. Any suggestions?

Thanks

We just returned home from Orlando via Southwest. Both the trip down (from Manchester, NH) and the trip back, we had preboarding adults hold our seats...we had 6 adults and an infant, the parents of the infant just put one adult in a row, and then people boarding wouldn't try to sit with them but would go for their own row. Both times, the rest of us had boarding numbers in the second boarding group (31-60) and we were at the end of the line, preferring not to stand in line for a half hour just to board. We had no problems sitting all together using this arrangement. I don't think that people trying to sit in rows that already contain people is really an issue until the third and fourth boarding groups.

The Orlando airport is really easy to get around in. The terminal with the gates is not connected to the main part with a lot of the shops and the hotel, you have to take a monorail/train thing between them. But after travelling out of Logan, which has to be one of the most confusing airports in the world, I find Orlando to be very easy to navigate. It has never felt crowded to me like Logan does, but I am sure that travelling right before Christmas will be busier. Although I would imagine more people would be coming into Orlando that day than leaving.

for the information. I know we will be very tired after our days on vacation. I just needed to know what to plan for.
