Flying from manchester with american airways via chicago

Have booked with disney travel uk for next aug and are flying Manchester to Chicago then to Orlando with a 2hour stop at Chicago. Have only ever flown direct before but have booked to save £££. Wondering if any one else has done this and could explain how it all works in Chicago airport. Do we need to claim out luggage in Chicago as both flights are with American airways? Do we go through immigration there or do we do that in Orlando? Any help/advice/tips I would very much appreciate. Thank you.

At Chicago :

- Get off the plane
- Go through Immigration
- Collect bags
- Go through Customs
- Drop bags off right after customs
- Go through Security
- Proceed to next boarding gate.
2hrs is short, so don't waste time until you've cleared security and you are in close proximity of your boarding gate (boarding will start 40 minutes before scheduled departure time of your second flight, doors will close 20 minutes before scheduled departure time)

At Orlando
- Get off the plane
- Proceed directly to that automated tram
- Go one level down to baggage Claim
- Go one level down either to car rental or DME.

Thank you for this, it's great info. I'm a bit worried about the 2hour turn around. My husband has visa issues so has already got a three year visa in his passport but because of this he always gets taken aside to be questioned. Fingers crossed we get through in the two hours. Thanks again for the info.
