Help.
I have family coming down from New Brunswick and I thought they may be able to fly from Portland to Orlando but it's looking like about 600 per ticket December 30th for a week.
Any help?

We just flew out of Bangor with Delta for about $200 per ticket. We did book about 7 months out though.

Being from Maine. I thought I would look into this. The week that you want to fly is a peak time and you are looking only 4 months in advance so the $600 price tag is no surprise.

I just checked Orbitz for that week and the cheapest they have right now out of Portland is $380 per person including taxes and fees. If that is still a bit much, you may want to look at flights out of Boston as well.

Good Luck. :cool2:

That's about what we pay as well and we also book about 7 months out. Great minds think alike. :thumbsup2 Speaking of, I'll be booking our May 08 trip next month. :goodvibes

Manchester, NH is also an option. We book out months in advance as well and there is nothing like flying out of Portland, though. Good luck finding a flight.

There is a new airline that is coming to Bangor in the next few months. On Wed & Sat (I think those are the two days) they are offering a direct flight to Orlando. They are saying they will have reasonable fares. Maybe check out the Bangor airport website and you may find some info. If I think of the airlines I will post it.

It's Allegiant air. If they can fly 12/29 to 1/5 it will be around $340 pp from Bangor to Orlando.

However be aware that allegiant flies into Sanford and not MCO so the drive will be a bit further and no magical express is available

if they leave 1 day later and return 1 day later they can fly out of bangor for around $ 300

Thanks for everyone's reply, it's so great to get all this good info....doing it alone is way to difficult.
They/We have decided to put it off until march break and they are now flying March 5-12 from Portland I think. Airtran has 907.00 for all 4 of them from Portland so they are gonna drive there. They have extra days on each side of the holiday so that will work and it also gives us the benefit of flying from Buffalo for the same cash instead of 2400.00 out of Toronto....yippee
