Flying from California to Honolulu - any departure city cheaper than others?

Looking ahead to a future Aulani stay, probably in July or August of 2013.

We're flying out of Toronto, and will look to fly to LAX or San Fran first using points and then get a flight from there to Honolulu.

Do there tend to be differences in prices between flying out of LAX or SFO (or any other city for that matter) to Hawaii? Is one cheaper?

LAX-HNL has the most competition on the route and is thus typically the cheapest.

You might want to check prices out of Seattle as well.

try Alaska...they have just announced new routes in California to Hawaii...lots of fare sales on now I believe
