O.k we are flying on Wed. from Buffalo and with Airtran.
My question is should I use Magical Express for our luggage....ahhhh I can't decide.
Our flight doesn't get in until 540pm and we have never used them to transfer our luggage we have always taken it on the bus with us.
My thoughts are it is only one less step at the airport right...we just don't have to pick it up again at the second terminal but we still have to get it off the carousel when we get off the flight and put it on the other.
I was thinking it could be late at night before it arrives to our room and then I would feel like I had to take a change of clothes. maybe p.j's and the bathing suits in a carry-on.....
any thoughts??

We are taking that flight on Thursday, and will be using ME, nothing better than not picking up your luggage. We took this flight last year and we had our luggage by 9:00PM.

Really...so when you get off the plane you still get the bags from the carousel right?...then just take them over to the other carousel on the left where they get taken to the other terminal???? that's it....then you just go over to ME desk?? is it that easy? I am just worried it will not show or something???

ahhh.....can't decide

If you use ME and put on the yellow tags, you check them in at the airport and you will not see them until they arrive at the hotel, 3 or so hours later. At the Orlando Airport you just go straight to the Magic Express checkin.

You don't have to take your bags from the carousel. In fact they won't even show up on the carousel if you have the Magic Express tags on them. You just get off the plane and walk directly to the ME check in counter, and don't even have to think about your bags. They will deliver them straight to your room - even if you are not in the room, they will leave them in there for you.

I love the convenience of using ME. We always fly out of Buffalo usually a later flight. I just through in what I think I might need for the night in a carry on just in case. The only time I needed it was our last trip our flight was a little delayed and didn't arrive until 9:30 pm so they held our luggage until the next morning.

Forgot to mention the best part about flying Air Tran for the return is you can use the Resort Airline checkin. Usually out the front door of the hotel lobby there is an airline checkin desk and with AirTran you can checkin yourself and your luggage in, so you do not have to carry it to the airport, just go straight to the security line. The desk is usually open from 5:00AM-1:00 PM and you must checkin I think 3 hours prior to your flight (last Dec it was) but I have read it is 4 hours but I am not sure of that. It is just like curbside checkin so you are expected to tip the person who checks you in, but it sure is nice not having to do the checkin at the airport. I have also heard that you cannot use the Resort Airline checkin, if you do on line checkin 24 hours in advance.

When travelling with the kids I always fly back on AirTran just for Resort Airline checkin.

we took this flight in December ... and I think our luggage arrived in our hotel room between 930-10pm. I would not hesitate to do it again. SOOOO Easy, walk of the plane, go to the ME counters, Get on the Bus and relax !! It's especially great when you get there in the late afternoon and traveling with Kids.
I have to agree, getting to check our luggage at the hotel was also really nice.. we only had to worry about it again when we landed in Buffalo.
Love AirTran!! Love ME ...
FYI, twice now we have flown with AirTran.
