Flying Fish, Jiko or Citricos

I am paying OOP for one signature meal during my solo trip. I have been to Jiko and love it, but I am very intersted in both of the others. I like the idea of sitting at the show kitchen bar @ Jiko or FF, but Citricos sounds luxurious. Any suggestions welcome.

We have been to all three and they each have a very different atmosphere. I think that Citricos has a bar where you can watch the food being made. The atmosphere was nice, but at least on the night we went, it did not seem as upscale as Jiko or FF. The food was good, but not great. I loved Jiko, but you have already been there, so maybe FF (a bit loud, but good food) or Citricos would be best. Have fun where ever you choose.

We ate at all three during our Christmas trip last year. I would rank them Jiko, Citricos and then Flying Fish. We didn't enjoy our meal at FF but I think it was more that we were very tired and the server was a bit off. Since you have eaten at Jiko, my vote would be Citricos. (Although I will add that our favorite signature meal last trip was Artist Point)

We've eaten at all 3 at least once each in the past year and I would rank them

1. Flying Fish
2. Citricos
3. Jiko

We really love fish which is why FF comes out on top. If it weren't for that, I'd probably say it'd be 3rd since it's always been a bit noisy compared to the other 2.

That's how I'd rank them as well.
FF is quite noisy and Citricos (most nights) is the most "quiet" of the 3.

And just to note that the kitchen at FF is "very" open. The actual kitchen at Jiko is NOT open--however you can sit at the place where they prepare the appetizers and flatbreads. But the real kitchen action is at FF!!!

Samsies. Mainly because FF was a bit on the noisy side, but so is CG and it's my favorite.

FWIW I have amazing meals at all of the signature restaurants, save CRT (but continue to eat there anyway) and Narcosee's. To me you can't go wrong with any of them.

I have been to all of them and they are all wonderful. My order is Jiko, Citricos, Flying Fish. Since you have been to Jiko previously, I would give Citricos a try!

ITA with this! We just LOVED Jiko!! Fr us, both the food and the atmosphere beat the other two easily. The other two are just about tied...

Absolutely, consistently some of the finest food we have had at WDW. And the wine list matches the food.

You can't go wrong with any of your 3 choices. Since you have already dined at Jiko, do Citricos or FF. Have fun!

Why not give flying fish a try this time, then after your meal head over to JRs for a drink or 2 and some tunes. It makes for a great night.

Those are my 3 favorites! Any of them would be a wonderful choice, but when I have to rank them, I go with:

1. Citricos
2. Flying Fish
3. Jiko

So I think it's really question of the atmosphere you want. You know what Jiko is like. I find Citricos to be the calmest, most intimate of the 3. Flying Fish is more boisterous. It feels like there is more going on there.

I would just close my eyes and point. You really can't go wrong with any of those!

We love all three. If I had to choose I'd suggest that you try Citricos. It really has a lovely, quiet atmosphere.

The best single dish I have ever had at any of them is a scallops dish at Jiko in 2007 that they no longer have on the menu! I am very bummed out that it has been removed...

If that one dish hadn't been removed from the menu, I would have ranked them:

Jiko
Citricos
Flying Fish

HOWEVER, since Jiko no longer serves that dish, my current ranking is:

Citricos
Jiko
Flying Fish

In fact, I just ate at Citricos about 3 weeks ago and it was outstanding. The ambiance in Jiko is the best, but the food at Citricos is slightly better.

Thanks for all the responses! It looks like the winner is Citricos! I guess I will have to plan another trip to try FF.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I couldn't even rank them because they are so close for me. I would just look at the menus & decide which one looks the most interesting to you & go for it. Since you have already tried Jiko, I would suggest trying either FF or Citricos. But, we have a tendancy to repeat our favorites as well.
