So as a little girl I decided I didn't like fish/seafood (devastating to my family of recreational fishermen)
As I continue education into the "foodie" world, I decided it was time to put my 8 year old self's preconceived notions behind me (in my mid thirties.)
Recently, I have started to branch out and try new things so far I have tried crab cakes
(blah), some other crab dish (better, but still just okay), seared ahi
(HEAVEN), sashimi grade raw ahi tuna (good), mahi mahi (not impressed, but could have been overpowered by a strong sauce, will try again.) I have tried all of these at high caliber restaurants near the sea (Hawaii and Florida).
I am excited to try flying fish and am interested in trying something new there, either an appetizer or main course. Looking for recommendations for something to try! I have red about the snapper, but am not sure if that is too "fishy" for me.
Would love to hear your rec's! TIA
