 The Flying Fish Cafe costs you two dinner meals on the dining plan per person. Neither The quality of food nor the quality of service warrant this extra costs. This reasaurant will not be on our future dining lists on future trips to WDW.

I found the Flying Fish restaurant to be especially dependent on the diner: Some folks don't like it, while other folks consider it among the best restaurants they've ever visited in their lives. It's a matter of personal preference.

The Flying Fish is an exceptional restaurant. One of the top on disney property. Sorry you didn't enjoy! We have been eating there for years, it is a must do for us!

I am sorry you did'nt like Flying Fish. It is a must do for us each trip always had great food and service. We always request Joe or Bob as our server they are wonderful. There char crusted steak is the best at Disney. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I'm not a fish lover, but have happily forked over $34 (I think is the current price) for the snapper two times!

My DW and I love the FF. However, we learned when we went in May that the chef has changed so the menu is a little different. For example, the potato wrapped red snapper now has a different "wine reduction" (sauce ;) ).

Also, the banana Napoleon, that was our favorite, was a stawberry Napoleon this time - good, but I liked the banana better. :)

I, too, would like to know why the OP did not like the FF. Was it the food, the service, the atmosphere or the price?

Honestly I love steak, but didn't care for the char crusted one at Flying Fish. I'm glad we tried it and will most likely try it again, but I enjoy the steaks at Yachtsman much better. Nice that there is so much variety to choose from on property to make everyone happy.

I've never eaten there as of yet, but we have ADR's there in a couple of weeks from now. I'm looking forward to trying it and I'll let you all know what we think when we get back! :)

Still waiting to hear what you didn't like about the food and service--.

We weren't impressed with the food when we tried it a few years back (LOVED the decor), but we're giving it another go in December and I'm definately going to try that encrusted steak almost everyone raves about. Silly me! I went there and ordered FISH! :rotfl2:

I'm always suspicious of a negative review that's a new members very first post. I wonder if it's a troll or even a member getting a new name for a "controversial" post.

I've only eating in FF once and enjoyed the meal. I could understand a guest not thinking it was worth two credits. I don't think a meal there is normally twice the price of some of the WS restaurants like the restaurants in Canada or France.

My memory is the menu is somewhat limited and I can understand that some guests might enjoy a different restaurant.

Our biggest complaint about the flying fish cafe is the service from our waiter. He was curt and uppity thru out the whole experience. The food was just OK. We did have FISH there and simply weren't impressed. The funny thing is we underwent exactly the opposite experience every where else we went at WDW. Our evening at Cinderellas Royal Castle, Le Cellier, The Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hollywood and Vine and Prime time Cafe were Both truely scrumptious and pleasant. Service, atmosphere and the quisine were all top notch. In fact down right fun. We look forward to returning to all these fine dining establishments.

We ate at the Flying Fish last year for the second time and we thought it was marginal. Perhaps because I've spent much of my life in New England and got spoiled by great fish, I thought the preparations were just "okay." I would not return to this restaurant and my husband, absolutely won't. I think it is just fine if you post a negative review. I absolutely love the California Grill and have never had a less than stellar meal there but I wouldn't be in the least suspicious of a poster who did not have a good experience. To each his own and that's a wonderful thing. Threehearts
