Which would you choose...Flying Fish Cafe or Narcoossee's? We are already doing the CG. I want to do one more signature restaurant and I like the menus at these two the best. I think it would be fun to eat at the GF since we'll probably never stay there. What would you suggust? It's just me and my DH.

My husband and I ate at the flying fish in Febr. Excellant food superior service. Our waiter was from Italy and he was very friendly and funny. My husband left an extra tip. I have never tried the other rest. so I cannot compare. You will enjoy Flying Fish. I noticed you had said you had res. for CG. We went there our first night. We enjoyed it also. Very good food and service. The best filet mignon I had ever had. My husband enjoyed his grilled pork tendorloin also.

FLYING FISH CAFE!!!My favorite restaurant in WDW! We are eating there 2 times in June! Hope you have a great trip!:)

We are doing both on our may trip... but I have heard FANTASTIC things about Flying Fish... :) I have heard its the best place to eat in the world...

We love Narcoosees and will be eating there twice on our next visit,(We love watching Wishes from the veranda) but we have heard great reviews on the Flying Fish and will be trying it for the first time this Sept.

We must say Flying Fish also.

With regards to seeing the GF, why not take some time and just hope on the monorail and go explore. You do not need to be a guest or patron of a restaurant at the Grand to walk the grounds.

Having eaten at both restaurants I must chime in with the overall consenus here - Flying Fish.

You are choosing between two restaurants that feature seafood as their primary menu item and Flying Fish hands down has more creative and tasty choices than Narcoosee's does. We had a wonderful meal there with incredible service.

Not to knock Narcoossee's because it was good, but not outstanding - it is a lovely setting with a very romantic ambience, especially if you can get a table next to a window. But be prepared to wait for one if that's what you want.

I'm sure you know you have to take every opinion here with a grain (or sometimes a block) of salt, but the overall impression my husband and I had after eating at Narcoosee's in October was: that was good but not good enough to make our list of must-dos.

Flying Fish on the other hand is a must-do - it was painful on our last trip to canel that ADR due to illness.

Here's hoping that you have a great dinner regardless of your choice! :goodvibes

I guess I am the oddball here :rotfl: but I prefer Narcoossee's. I think the food is great & I like it as you can see the MK. But each to their own ;)

Another diner here who feels FF has far superior food to Narcoosees.

For food quality, FF is much better. If you want Surf & Turf, you have to go to Narcoossee's. For overall atmosphere - you can't beat the Fish, the boardwalk @ night is fabulous! Narcoossee's has the upper hand in the romance category, and if you time it right with a late ADR, you get the music and a spectacular view for Wishes. Both are great, probably my #1 & #2 choices. This last week when we were there and decided to extend our stay by a day, we let the kids choose what resturant they wanted for one last big meal, and they chose to go back to the Fish!

I'm glad you said that......I am getting the DXDDP next trip and I'm going to Narcosee's specifically for that Surf n Turf....glad it's good.

We are eating at FF a different day so I'll post when I get back.

I'm another Flying Fish Fan! It is one of the best dining experiences at WDW.

Best Wishes!

It's all a matter of preference. Check the menus for both and see which has food that sounds more appealing.

I have been to FF and did not care for it. But then again, I don't like seafood, so the pickins were slim for me. I have not been to Narcoossee, but would love to try it.

The Flying Fish is our favorite, but we like both restaurants. If you visit the Flying Fish, try the potato-wrapped red snapper. It's very good.
