I'm definitely getting into the weeds now that I've solidified my plan for September. I have reservations for Narcoossee's and Flying Fish (two different nights). I'm excited to try both for "research" - my bf wanted to try a restaurant with focus on seafood on our next trip. How do folks feel about both?

I'm eyeing the surf and turf at Narcoossees. Recent reviews look positive, but I welcome additional thoughts on your favorite dish!

At Flying Fish, I'm torn between the sea bass and the salmon. I like the sound of the leek accompaniment. Seeing positive feedback on both the salmon and the sea bass - and the price did shock me a bit. Is sea bass typically this expensive? Showing my ignorance on that one. Again, what is your favorite dish at Flying Fish?

We dine at both every single trip. I have always gotten the Salmon at the Flying Fish and haven't strayed from that dish. Its delicious! Last year, I didn't care for the accompaniments that it was served with and there was no issue in swapping it out. My husband swears by the Pork Belly appetizer as best he has ever had. As far as Narcoosee's, we love the mussels appetizer and I have had the surf and turf before and it was very good. Last few trips I have gotten the shrimp/pasta dish and that was good as well. Don't miss out on the almond cheesecake dessert, my fav one on property!

We haven't been to Flying Fish, but have been to Narcoosee's a couple times. We've gotten the Surf and Turf and it was very good. I agree with @JKMastalski about the almond cheesecake - it is sooooooo good.

Because of food sensitivities and Allergies, we tend to stick with Disney owned restaurants so we've never tried Narcoossee's. Flying fish, however, was heavenly. The pork belly appetizer is addictive, and I was in heaven with the scallops (they did adapt the plate for my dairy allergy) and my husband, the not a big fish fan, loved the salmon.

The ambiance was stunning and romantic. I'd consider it more adult oriented in theming. And enjoyed the Abracadabra bar next door.

It's already on our must do list for our next trip, and we'd both highly recommend it.

My wife and I ate at Narcoossee’s in 2017 and I got the surf and turf and loved it. We also got the almond cheesecake and I was fantastic. Personally, I think it is one of the better signature restaurants on property.

We love Flying Fish! If you would consider bluezoo at the the Dolphin, they also have outstanding fish - we love the miso-glazed mero- but it’s not on the dining plan. Narcoosee’s menu is very limited, IMHO, but if you are interested in lobster it’s not a bad choice.

This really is a Sophie's choice as both are good, but for different reasons.

Narcoossee's has two of our favorite entrees ever on property - their scallops and the shrimp pasta. They'll change them up a little every once in a while, but they have truly perfected them over the years and is one of the few places where we order the same thing every time. The almond cheesecake is also divine. That said I think Narcoosees feels a little more casual than Flying Fish, but they have amazing MK fireworks views.

Flying Fish is probably the most beautiful restaurant in Disney. It certainly feels a little more upscale and adult. This follows the menu as well, which tends to be a bit more sophisticated than Narcoossee's. We've had a handful of misses here over the years, but they are constantly reinventing their menu and always trying to raise the bar.

Both restaurants are in our plans for November. We’ve done them before but haven’t been to Flying Fish since their refurb.

I know you specified seafood but I think the char-crusted New York Strip at Flying Fish is perhaps the best steak on property.

They are both Disney owned.

We love Narcoossee's, but Flying Fish is my favorite restaurant on property. I just ate at Flying Fish in May and everything that I had was absolutely delicious. I had the sea bass on a recommendation from the table next to mine who raved about it, and I was not disappointed. I also had the Wisconsin burrata appetizer and cocoa breach for dessert and really enjoyed them both. The entire meal was outstanding.

I had the halibut at Narcossee's and it was disappointingly dry. I did like their almond cheesecake but probably won't go there again as there are other p laces I enjoy more. Flying Fish was awesome! I had the scallops there and I asked my waiter why they got rid of the Under the Sea dessert I had been wanting and was eliminated from the menu. He had the kitchen make me a mini version of it for my b-day. It was awesome! Will definitely go back to FF. As others have said - its beautiful there!
