Flyglobespan and ETOPS

Not been around much so may have missed a previous posting but here goes..

I know this doesnt directly affect Orlando flights as i think they use the 767's but something to note for people booked on the FGS 737-800's to fly to other destinations over the Atlantic. They have lost their ETOPS certificate and further issues with closing ops at certain airports, i would certainly think twice about any bookings noting the opinions on this link.

i'd seen this the other day too. Does not sound good when added to the other 'mixed' reports that regularly appear on here.

Sound's like there may be 'trouble a' t'mill'.

I think its down to a bad maintenence schedule for there engines they like penny pinching

All jets with just 2 engines have to follow ETOPS rules including the 757's/767's. The reason why the Orlando Sanford flights are not part of this grounding is apparently those planes are leased from and operated by Icelandair on behalf of Flyglobespan. (according to an article I read yesterday)
