I wanted to let anyone who is interested know about Fly Over America. If you are a big fan of Soarin, there is now a very Soarin like attraction at the Mall of America in Minnesota. I've been privileged to ride it 3 times already and can't wait to go again. This ride was from the same folks who opened Fly Over Canada in Vancouver. The gentleman behind it is I believe a former Disney employee, and you can find out more about that on Google
First off, the ride is amazing and if you are at MOA I highly recommend you pay the $17 to go on it. It is about twice as long as Soarin and every bit the same experience. The biggest mistake I felt they make is too much mists of water, and not enough scents, though there is definitely a new scent. Having been on Soarin many many times, I found this to be extremely uplifting and fun. The ride is a bit different in the way you are placed up into the Omni Screen, and I think it was a really smart move.
The pre-ride queue video is awful, they really must not have had a budget for that. Its horrible. But oh well, the ride is great and in some ways I enjoyed it more than Soarin.
Anyway, I'm not going to dump in every piece of info about it, but just to say, if you end up in Minnesota and can get to MOA, you'll love it!
