I can save $400.00 by flying into Daytona Beach instead of Orlando. Has anyone driven from Daytona to Orlando? How long does it take to get to WDW?

Thanks

Mapquest says it's 75 miles and an hour and a half drive. Tamps is also a good alternative airport. I'd save the money (as long as you were planning to rent a car).

I have flown into Daytona Beach and really like the airport. It has a nice selection of car rental companies (all are onsite.) and is a nice quiet airport to fly into instead of busy Orlando. Baggage claim is low-key instead of the madhouse at Orlando. The drive is surprisingly short (I can do it in a little over an hour under optimum conditions.) I would definately choose this airport over Orlando if the price were the same and certainly if the price was lower.

Daytona airport is really a nice place to land. If you have any race fans you can stop at the race track. Or spend the night at the Beach. From the airport go straight on Speedway Bl. to
I-95 then to I-4 right to Orlando. Now if you get in around 3:30pm the traffic around Sanford and the city of Orlando on I-4 is really BAD. So you might think about taking I-95 all the way to Rt.528 (Bee line) then get on I-4 from there. Its still a nice drive. And there are rest stops along the way.Have a nice and safety trip.http://www.Yourride.net
