Going on the Disney Magic 5-night Western Caribbean cruise March 12-17. Will we be back to port and off the boat early enough (say early afternoon) on the 17th to book a flight back home the same day? Thanks so much and sorry if this is a dumb question.

Absolutely! Debarkation typically begins around 7:30am and DCL wants all guests off by 9am. If you are cruising out of Miami, the port is not far from the airport.

Enjoy your cruise!

They will have you up and off the ship bright and early so that they can flip the ship and begin boarding the next guests ASAP. You can easily book a flight the same day. It is recommended that you book a flight that departs at noon or later.

It is not a dumb question, but I did chuckle when I read the title since most people asking if they can make a flight are wondering if they can make a flight before noon, as olookasquirrel alluded to.

Early morning kicked off the ship to deal with customs and getting home. Yep, disembarkation day is the opposite of embarkation day in every single sense.

We usually always fly home the same day. In January we have an 11:30 flight out of Orlando that same morning we get off.

We just got off the fantasy last week. Had an 11 40 flight which is a little early for my liking but our other option was a couple hours later. We did onboard checking, got our boarding passes night before, attached the tags to the bags and left them outside door stb10 4. We walked off the ship around 730, breezed through customs, got on bus and were walking past a gate with a plane leaving for Chicago at 915 as it was just finishing boarding. Spent 2 hours in the United club. This was first time I ever did onboard airline checkin. I couldn't believe how efficient it was. Plus I'm premier gold and always get free bags and TsA pre. With my united mileage plus number on the paperwork it all happened without a problem. I will not hesitate to take the late morning flight again.

Agree with the others. As long as your flight is noon or later, you should be in great shape. We have done two cruises, the eastern and western, and we were fine on time both times. Not only do you get shuffled off quickly, but DCL makes the transition to the airport pretty smooth and easy.
