This morning on my way to work I heard that Orlando had flurries??

Tell me it aint so.....!!!! ! :rotfl2:

We are leaving in three weeks to get AWAY from all this snow!!!!
:beach:

maybe the guy on the radio was making a joke..

It got down to -17 here in Toronto last night .. and thats without the windchill

BBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Counting my days down to DVC Trip!!!!

23 to go!

According to the local weather reports, there WERE FLURRIES in Volusia County (Daytona area)

Here in Melbourne it only(?) about 34 for a low. Orlando was colder, though.

We got back from a Disney Cruise right before Thanksgiving 06 and they had flurries that morning at Port Canaveral... should have seen how bundled up our cab driver was. Kind of funny but not very good way to escape winter in FL.

I've heard that there were flurries just a little north of here.

I am here right now -- came for New Year's Eve.

It was COLD yesterday. They had a hard freeze last night (and are forecasting a freeze again for tonight.) The wind chills were 22 degrees (and cooler). Right now, at 3:42 p.m., it is 48 degrees and the wind makes it feel much colder.

The locals say that this is the kind of cold that hits here every 12-15 years. I figure that I have at least 11 good years ahead of me before another one of these! :)

You can blame my inlaws!!! They left here (NJ) on new years day for there annual 3 month excursion in their Motor Home to FL. They always go to the Disney outlet stores first! They also join us every Nov at VWL (on us).

Hope the weather turns warmer for all you lucky folks going to Disney!
Happy New Year!

Having lived in Orlando while I was in Junior High School. I can remember MANY FREEZING :cold: COLD mornings with flurries...waiting on the school bus! They would have the sprinklers going and the fire pods burning in the Orange Groves and when the wind blew the sprinklers your way....LOOK OUT!!!!!

I'm here now, and it was wicked cold last night!! They say it got down to 19, which is definitely cold enough for snow. I saw a few flurries in the air, but nothing like we get at home in upstate NY. It just feels wrong to say "cold" and Disney World" together!?!

Spoke with friends in the Tampa area and they said it was 28 when they got up but that it was 48 by afternoon. They also expect it to be back up into the 70s by the weekend so maybe they have had the worst of it for this year.

On the night before last it was 29 degrees and in Celebration it snows every night during December, but if I were you I wouldn't try to catch any of those flakes on your tounge.

I wouldn't count on that too much! This is the second time in three or four years that they've had to worry about the citrus crops freezing. Dang--there goes the price of OJ again!

I think you'll be fine in three weeks. The warm up starts tomorrow.

It's true. We had flurries in Volusia county Thusday morning. We had 31 in Orlando but didn't last long enough to affect citrus only ferns. As a lifetime resident, have seen worse. Was suppose to be 72 today but with cloud cover don't think we made it. As a former cast member, I can remember guests complaining about the cold. They didn't think it got cold in Orlando. Guess what it does.
