Fluff: weird things your spouses do (nothing serious, this is for fun)

Mine piles clothes ON TOP of the hamper rather than lifting the lid and putting them inside!!!

MADDENING!!!

I love my husband, I really do. Don't think I don't just because I can easily list three things and probably more if I really thought about it!

1. Whenever he showers he neatly folds up the towel he used and puts it on the toilet rather than hang it on the towel rack. That drives me crazy every time since the towel stays wet and it makes for one extra step before I can do what I have to do first thing in the morning!

2. My husband hums. He doesn't hum songs from the radio. He makes up the tune as he goes and it is always very discordant.

3. My husband is a very practical, utilitarian man. Whenever I put a bowl on the table or mantle for decoration, he fills it with "stuff". I can never just have something to be pretty. He has to put it to use somehow.

Overall, he's a good man. He just has some quirky habits. As for me, I'm perfect I'm sure!! :rotfl:

He comes home from work and leaves his socks on my ottoman. There will be days worth of socks on there because I get sick of picking them up.

I constantly find empty yogert cups on the side tables, each with a spoon in it along with the empty soda cans. He also makes every scrap of paper in the house his note pad. Notes on envelopes, notes on the back of flyers, notes everywhere and God forbid I throw them away! Our daughter does this as well and they are both insane pack rats.

Oh and to add to it....he is always humming or whistling too. Both DH and DD have to sing every song on the radio that they make up words they don't know because they won't shut up long enough to listen to the song to figure out what the word actually is...that makes me crazy!!!

These are so amusing....I have a few to share as well...now mind you these would be the first things I would miss if something were to ever happen to him.

1) The moment we step into a hotel room, (we go for a lot of weekend away trips) he grabs the remote and turns the tv on. He isn't a huge tv guy either. This drives me INSANE...I always end up unpacking while he sits and flips channels.
2) When drinking anything he swallows REALLY loud, the moment I notice it, I swear it keeps getting louder and louder.
3) He takes off his pants with his socks and boxers still in them and leaves them on the floor next to his side of the bed.
one more.....
4) He fidgets....he will sit with his hands together and will rub his fingers back and forth..(his hands are very rough from construction work) the sound is like sandpaper, I swear.

I love him more then anything, thank goodness;)

He takes off his pants with his socks and boxers still in them and leaves them on the floor next to his side of the bed.
one more.....

That reminds me of another one of his habits!! He wears layers of shirts and takes them off as one shirt and throws them into the laundry that way so that I have to stand there and disassemble his shirts before I can launder them. Arrrgggghhhh!!!!! He also takes dirty pairs of socks and hooks them together to throw them in the laundry as if they aren't going to end up separated anyways.

You are right though, if anything were ever to happen to him I would miss all these things. These are what make my Stevie my Stevie!!!

My husband cannot bend from the waist. He will step over an item on the floor rather than bending over to pick it up. I know this because I purposely left a paper towel in the middle of our kitchen floor once. Three days later I picked it up. And it must be a genetic affliction because I'm noticing the same behavior in both of my sons.

all these are so funny

my dh will put everything from his pockets, his hat, his belt and everything he takes in the morning on the tv even though I have a basket on the entry table just fo that :sad2:

he also likes to move all my stuff - says he is putting away? :upsidedow

he also HAS to get a new phone every few months? honey i love ya but you are costing us money?

Love these

My DF won't eat at Wendy's because the hamburgers are square.

Ya'll have got some funny husbands with some mildly annoying habits. Try these. No carpet freshener... just use wife's powder! No air freshener...try wife's perfume. Car air freshener.... he sticks my fabric softeners in the car vents. I have a country, country, country husband. But I chose him so I 'll keep him. Funny thread though.:lmao:

Not weird, but he will have the whole house lit if I don't follow behind and turn off.

My problem is the exact opposite, I may walk out of a room that I am coming right back too and he will have gone and turned off the light before I can ever get back.

DH always takes two pieces of gum.....he says he needs one for each side of his mouth. :confused3

He simply refuses to put a new roll of toilet paper on the roller thingy. He will get it from the closet (sometimes), and place it on the back of the toilet or the sink. I'm like, "You sit there long enough, just put it on the roller!" I mean, the man has a doctorate, I think he can figure it out!

Ditto. I understand being too lazy to put the roll on the holder, but sometimes he goes all the way to the other bathroom to bring a fresh roll back and then still sets it on top of the roller. He's already gone the distance and done the hard part, why would he not do the easy part? I just don't get it. :confused3

Some of these are FUNNY, DH doesn't seem so bad, I'd kill him if he stuffed dirty socks in the couch :lmao:

DH constantly asks my opinion on 'this' or 'that'. I pick one, he then chooses the other. I can't figure out if he already has his mind made up and just wants validation and I am not 'cooperating', or if he is just fickle. But I am like "why did you even bother asking me?"

Also, while driving, DH makes split second decisions...whoops, I need to turn left here (full speed sharp turn), oops, the car in front of me is stopped (jams on brakes). Really though he is not that bad a driver, but every car horn honk in earshot is taken personally. 99% of the honks are not meant for him, but he gets defensive about them anyway.

To be fair, I drive DH nuts in that I don't clean up the kitchen until I am done eating. The particular straw that breaks the camels back are cheese wrappers, he can't stand to see them on the counter when I'm eating a sandwich.

He won't put the toilet paper on the thingy either.
He leaves his clothes beside the bed- boxers, pajamas, and socks.
He has a little basket in the kitchen for keys, wallet, phone, etc. never ever ever puts it in the basket.
Puts towels on top of the laundry basket.
The list is longer- but I'm sure everyone else has this stuff too. And after 12 years of being married- he hasn't changed.:lmao:
I love him- so I put up with it. LOLOLOL:love:

Mine has a mental block about coming to the dinner table on time. i will yell to him that dinner is in 10 minutes, then give him a heads up at 5 minutes, then when I'm putting the food on the table....and still, he will wait a minute to come to the table. And on top of that sometimes he will take 5 minutes more making himself tea before he sits down. It makes my head explode. I should be used to it after 19 years but apparently I'm a slow learner.

You set him up! LOL!

he also likes to move all my stuff - says he is putting away? :upsidedow

:

Mine does that too.....and stacks it. :sad2:

Wow!! I thought my husband was the only one that left his clothes next to the bed. I just don't get it!! He could take his clothes off in the bathroom but then he puts them on the floor by the bed! :confused3 It bothers me even more because I PURPOSLY bought him his own hamper and put it right next to his dresser (Which is also RIGHT NEXT TO THE BED) and they STILL go on the floor!! I guess it is just a "guy" thing!

He puts up with a lot from me though so I guess I can't complain to much. His biggest gripe would be that I use the entire kitchen when I cook. Seriously! Evey inch of the counter has something on it when I am cooking. Wrappers, jars, silverware. I like to just cook then clean up later...he hates it.

Dh makes the strangest noise when he chews food. I have no idea how he does it, and the oddest thing about it: he doesn't hear it. DD and I have asked him repeatedly about it, and he always says "what noise? Is it the sound of my teeth?" Other people outside the family have noticed. In fact, it is a little embarassing to go out to eat with other people and see them get the "what is that noise" look.

He refuses to put his plethora of baseball hats away, so on my book cases upstairs, there are dozens of hats sitting out. When I tried to put them away, he got very angry and demanded that they be left out.

If he eats the last of anything, he leaves it sitting on the counter--particularly annoying when it is ice cream, and it creates a little puddle of melted ice cream on the counter.

Grossest habit: He get migraines about 1 time a month. He always puts a trash can beside him in case he get sick. Everytime he puts a mesh metal trashcan beside his bed--can you imagine how nasty that vomit pattern would be???
