We are being offered the flu shot where I work (free of charge) and I have never gotten one in the past. I know people who are high risk - elderly, people with supressed immune systems, etc. are recommended to get it but now sure if I should. I am a 30ish generally healthy female. DH & 2 toddlers at home (not sure if that would sway an opinion) How does 1 decide yay or nay to get it??? And those that have in the past, any side effects I should be aware of?
I chose not to get it. In fact, I've only had the flu shot once and I got sick that year. So until my doc says I need it, I'll put it off.
. make sure you have no allergies to anything used in making the shot.

I had the flu back when I was 13. It did turn into pneumonia. Since then, I have never had the flu again. I know it's going to get me one day but I feel that I am not in crowds much at all and I take all the precautions to avoid it.
