Anyone get both of these at the same time? Scheduled to do so later this morning, but am now wondering if I should do one today and one next week?

We are going on a cruise soon and traveling over the winter, which is actually why I am getting them.

Anyone do both and were the side effects mild or worse than just getting one?

I've gotten them together once before - no side effects of either aside from a sore arm for a day or two. Last visit to the doctor, I got a flu shot, but not a Covid shot - the PA just didn't suggest it at the time.

I got both this last time in the same arm. No issue.

Two years ago I got 4 at the same time, two in each arm. Flu, Covid, Tetanus, and Pneumonia. No issues.

But my experience might not be yours.

I've gotten them both at the same time twice now. One in each arm. Together or separate, I always feel like garbage for a day after getting the Covid shot. I just power through it and take advil if I get a fever. So it wasn't any worse than usual for me.

We chose to get them two weeks apart, but I have a friend who got them both on the same day. None of us had any adverse side effects.

I always do them at separate times (maybe 2-3 weeks apart) and never had any issues. Just got the latest covid vaccine last week and had no issues (bit of upper arm soreness for a few hours). Seems to me if you got both of them at the same time AND then had an issue, there would be no way to determine which one caused the problem. Even though our local grocery store is advertising to get them both at the same time, the nurse administering the shot said she agreed with me and always gets hers at separate times.

Some relatives who have gotten the covid shots in the past tended to have a fever or aches for a day or so, but seems like everyone perhaps has different reactions to such things.

We both got them at the same time, same arm.....no problems

My DH and I got just the flu shot this time. I am curious -- does anyone have any hesitation over getting the Covid vaccine?

My husband has gotten both at the same time this year and last year. No issues.
I got my flu shot on Tuesday and my covid and pneumonia shot on Saturday and no issues either.

No hesitation here. We are doing some traveling soon and I want to be protected. Last year, we got our Covid vaccine in late September because we were going to disney in October. No issues, had a great trip. Then comes Thanksgiving. My mother in law had Covid and spread it to the whole family......except DH and I, who were the only ones in the family who had a recent covid vaccine.

We've only gotten them separately, but would have done them together this year except that we've all had covid in the past 2 months, so now we're going to wait a few months and get them in the winter to hopefully protect against it for our spring cruise.

I wouldn't be concerned about getting them together - I always feel pretty crappy the day after the covid vaccine, and almost never had any side effects from the flu shot, so I figure the covid reaction will be my predominant one.

None whatsoever. I am old enough to remember the miracle that was the polio vaccine so I weigh the risks of getting/not getting the vaccine. For me, no contest… death hung over north Jersey like a pall during Covid, so many loses.

I got the latest Covid and flu a week apart right before I went to WDW for 10 days last month. Didn’t even have so much as a sniffle since I’ve been home. At 72 with comorbidities, however, I realize I am more vulnerable than others may be and if I get sick, the stakes are higher. So look at your situation and experience and make the best choice for you.

Reputable medical experts recommend the flu and covid shots, which is good enough for me. There is an infinitesimal chance of a serious reaction with ANY sort of vaccine, but there is also a chance I might get in a car accident going to get the shot. The benefit far outweighs such risks. I get my medical advice from reputable medical experts, not the nonsense being posted on social media.

I got them together two years ago, no issues. It was the same brand covid vaccine that I had always had. Last year, I got them at the same time, with the other brand of covid vaccine and I was knocked on my butt for two days. Could have been a coincidence. This year I'm getting them separately just because my PCP only offered the flu shot at my last appointment.

Nope. I was even on the Novavax trial for their covid vaccine. I'll be getting flu and covid vaccines this weekend along with my kids.
