No sooner had I posted last week that I thought I was clear from niece's flu....BAM!! Knocked me for a loop!! Not sure if I got it from her 8 days later (or from someone else), but I sure got it! Finally out of bed after 4 days!

Worst part was that I was supposed to start my new job on monday 1/5 - which of course didn't happen as I had a never ending fever of 103!! Hopefully I'll start next monday.

Glad to finally be feeling a bit better and at least able to return to my computer and catch up on some DIS posts!!

As for the flu, be afraid...be very afraid!!!

Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well but I am glad to hear you are up and around today. We are all petrified of the flu here. MY boss came in yesterday ranting and raving about how we should all stay home if we are sick. A co-worker took his child to the doctor because she was so afraid of getting sick, she refused to go to school.

Glad to hear you are feeling better! I had the flu six years ago (flu shot from then on!), and I remember how it just knocked me out! Now at least you've gotten it, and won't have to worry the rest of the season...here's hoping that the rest of your year is a healthy one!

I am one of those people who swears the flu shot doesn't work - well this year I have learned my lesson!!!!

We went on the DCL in mid November we got the flu the day we left the ship - had that for a while - was okay for a week - and it turned into a cold - which turned out to be bronchitis - I was fine for a week and then bam - now I am sick again. I am SICK of being SICK!!!

Don't you know next year I will be the first one in line for the flu shot!!!

Right now my nose is just completely stuffed up and nothing seems to work - it really sucks can then I breathe through my mouth and then I get a sore throat!

Oh well - enough whining from me. I hope we all feel better soon!
