Currently planning family cruise for February 2019, 7 night Eastern or Western Caribbean, we have enough family that are Florida residents for 6 of the 9 cabins we need, question for those that study the schedules etc., do they typically run discounts the first 2 weeks of February? Thanks in advance!

It's hard to know for sure what Disney might or might not do in the future. However, this thread may help you a little bit with some historical patterns. https://www.disboards.com/threads/current-gt-mto-flr-discounts.3244232/

FLR and MTO rates are offered to fill the ship so there is no real way of predicting if there will actually be any for the time you want to go. However, you would want to start looking at anywhere from 60 to 45 days before sailing. Sometimes they come out even sooner than that if they have tried to fill the ship with other special rates and still have availability for that category. For example, the September dates for this year came out in late May to early June if I recall correctly. It also depends on your itinerary. If Western is not selling well they will discount it a bit. Be ready to send that proof of FL residency within 48 hours of booking it and be ready to pay in full for each cabin.

This is correct. As a 20 year resident of FL, I just booked my very first FL rez discounted DCL cruise. I booked for our early Sept. Fantasy sailing in May. It was a very good rate. Almost as good as a cast member rate!

Sytrace is correct that you must provide proof of FL residency within 24 hours of booking. I was a bit incognizant of this, and fortunately DCL sent me an email 24 hours later saying they had not received the appropriate documentation proving I did indeed live in FL. Of course I promptly sent them my FL Drivers License info! And after that and paying in full, we were and are all set! WOO HOO!

My question to the OP would be...... I hope you are not hoping for Presidents Week, as I would think your odds would be less for that week in Feb. Good luck! :cutie:

I did get something wrong...it is 48 hours to send in proof... but they do send reminders in the middle of the night at 24 hours and freaks some people out. lol
One time I booked a FL rate on Friday night and sent my proof right away via email. Monday at about 4 AM I get an email from DCL telling me my reservation would cancel if I did not submit proof by Monday they would auto cancel my reservation or it would revert to rack rate. :)
I immediately called at 8 AM and told the poor cast member that I had submitted it via email and that I could forward it to them if they needed me to. She told me that the rate verification offices were closed on weekends and that it was an auto generated email they sent to everyone. After my heart rate returned to normal I sent the proof again...just because. lol

Thanks for clarifying that, Sytrace! :-) Again, it was my first time booking a FL rez discount. :cutie: And I did not go back and look at emails to see the timeline. I know I got that reminder email pretty quick after booking, as Sytrace mentions in their last post. :flower:
