Flowers Around My Town (pictures)

Good evening everyone,

It was a lovely night and Chris and I decided to take Monty dog out for a nice long walk through our town. I took some close ups of flowers and plants we passed along the way.

Yes, I LOVE summer!

One of these trips to WDW will have to be during the flower & garden festival. I've only been during it once and that was years ago. Everytime I see the photos from it, I really want to go back.

Those are beautiful! I have a plant called Bee Balm that started blooming a few days ago. The flowers look like something from outer space. It's a member of the mint family and both the leaves and flowers are edible. In fact the leaves can be brewed into tea that's suppose to be good for helping you sleep.

You should! I take my camera just about everywhere I can.

We are always surrounded by beauty; whether it is a raindrop on a flower petal after a storm, a bird in flight, the sunlight shining through the branches of a tree, a butterfly perched on the deck, an old building that makes you wonder what life was like when it was built etc.

It always amazes me, I took these pictures last night while we walked around our neighborhood and my BF said he never even noticed we had flowers.

Thanks!! The Queen Annes Lace photo is my favorite. It reminds me of my grandmother. We used to pick these on our walks and then place them in glasses of colored water and watch them change colors!!
