Flowers and Star Wars and Harry, oh my! TR started, link inside!

Your day sounds great !!We are definately thinking on adding the Waterparks and more !!My BIG concern is wil we ever get Kyle outta DQ!!!:rotfl2:

if u do want to go straight down some rollercoaster hills, you can go to cedar point, they have 2 that go straight down.
:thumbsup2

 We were planning on Cedar Point this summer. Instead of just doing a day at their water park we were going to do two days, one in Cedar Point and the other at the water park. BUT Disney sent the pin code and now we are doing that, Cedar Point will have to wait for another summer.

Just don't tell him it exists and you will not have that problem. :rolleyes1

I heave read that too, mostly it is repeat cruisers who are saying it though, those who have been to the port numerous time. I can't fault them for wanting to stay on the ship in that case BUT if it is your first time in the port then definitely one should get off the ship and explore a bit. Nassau wouldn't be my first pick of ports though thus why I canceled the Dream cruise.

I just don't know why people go on a cruise that has a port they have no intention of visiting, especially if it is the only port of call other then Castaway Cay. The first cruise I went on was 4 nights on the Wonder with a stop in Nassau, the only thing I did was a walking tour of Atlantis, then I end up back in my sate room watching the suite life of Zack and Cody. I really regretted not visiting a little bit more of Nassau.

I would love to go to Nassau and stay at the Ocean Club Resort for a week and get visiting privileges at Atlantis. The cost to visit Atlantis for the day on a cruise though is outrageous!

What a lot of people apparently end up doing to avoid this is book a room at one of the cheaper hotels on Paradise island that has as one of it's perks access to the water park at Atlantis.

Reading a few Med cruise trip reports I read how some people didn't get off the ship in Tunisia or Crosica. Why on earth did you go on a Med cruise if you aren't going to enjoy the ports? :confused3

Tunisia I can understand a little bit as it may not interest everyone, and they can be a little bit rude towards women. Also it just seams like people don't want to get off at ports where there is not a lot of shopping to do.

when you plan a trip for there, i would really consider, having 2 full days for the park and one for the water park....there is a ton to do at the coaster side of things, and if you get there on a busy day, you will be upset if you dont get to hit all the big coasters.

we usually go for a week, spend about 3 days in the park, 1 water park, and one day on the beach and just relaxing.

Mom and Erich aren't big coaster fans so two days in the park would be a waste for them, really one day in the park is probably a waste for them since it is my understanding that most of the rides are coasters or thrill rides. We go to Cedar Point as an add-on to our family visits to Toledo so can't really afford to take the whole week there as then we would have to cut out the family visit which is the whole point of the drive to Ohio. ;):rotfl:

Your relaxing day plans sound wonderful!

I love Boma!

Have you been to Medieval Times? I haven't been, but it looks like fun.

Boma will be a first for us. I want to show Alek and Erich AKL since we didn't end up staying there which was the original plan. Erich also loves his breakfast buffets so I figured this would be a good opportunity to visit.

Never been to Medieval Times. Alek and Erich say it is a must-do on this trip and it sounds like lots of fun. In fact, Alek said the only reason for the trip was to go to Medieval Times and the World's Largest McDonald's. :sad2: Really who cares about all the other stuff I have planned so long as we get those two crossed off the bucket list. :sad2:

Hey, Lessa!!
Wow, the plans are really coming together!!!:thumbsup2
I've been meaning to ask you this ever since you posted about it, but do you mind sharing exactly what kind of camera you got? Looks like it would be perfect to use while snorkeling at CC!:)

Of course!

I got the Canon D10. I don't know how available it is in the States but up here it was a real pain to get my hands on it. I had to order it in from one of the specialty camera stores.

I've been pleased with it so far. The true test will come in May once vacation time arrives. I'm confident that it will perform well. My friends and I just filmed a skit for a class presentation with the camera and we were pleased with the quality.

We will have three other cameras along with us on the trip so no fear of losing out on pictures if one camera fails.

A friend I met on one of the Disney forums has an extra floating strap that she is mailing to me which will make it even more suited for snorkeling, no fear of it sinking to the depths of the ocean.

Your free day sounds very busy! Breakfast at Boma and a water park and maybe mini golf and Medieval Times. It sounds very fun, though. :thumbsup2

Our free "relaxing" day is busy. :rotfl: It will be fun, it will be nice and relaxing for Mom. She doesn't do the slides at the water parks so she just floats around in the lazy river and chats with strangers while lounging in the sun, no hiking up a bazillion stairs to get to the slides for her. Then she has decided she won't be joining us for Medieval Times so relaxing time at the resort away from the crazy kids. ;)

Here's hoping the weeks until school is over fly by quickly for you!

Breakfast at Boma - yummm! :goodvibes

Enjoyed US the one time I was there, but that was a long time ago and it has changed a whole lot! Looks like some fun plans!

Have got to get Boma breakfast and one of the Disney Water Parks on our schedule. We haven't done either of those things yet! Maybe in June... :confused3

Glad you got some much needed time off to rest, relax and recon some more for your trip!!! :goodvibes

Only 6 weeks of class left. I too hope it flies by, the semester has been very stressful. Not because it has been academically challenging but because of the level of disorganization on the part of certain people running the program. I know that they made some changes this year but it has been ridiculous!

We LOVE the water parks, especially Typhoon Lagoon. I could spend all day in that wave pool.

Seems like I"m running all over the PTR threads today apologizing for not making it over this way in FAR TOO long!! Please forgive me!!

But I am caught up, and wanted to say, just because a day is "busy" doesn't mean it can't be "relaxing". I think the 2 CAN go hand in hand, if planned right.

Your new camera looks super cool; I sure hope it does what you want it to on your trip!!

I LOVED Boma for dinner; I can only imagine they do just as nice a job for breakfast! :thumbsup2

Based on Dan's TR update about the PPP located at the wave pool, I could probably sit all day and watch the waves come crashing in...... :goodvibes
if you have your camera out just make sure you are sitting far enough away with your zoom lens not to get caught.
:lmao:
