I am so jealous that you get to go to see HP world!! Although, I don't know that I'll be too jealous once I hear how big the crowds are---

I'm jealous too! I can't wait to hear about the Harry Potter attractions. We decided we just can't fit it in this trip since we only have 5 days. But that just means we'll have to go back to Orlando at some point

It's always good to have an excuse for another trip. You can be sure that I will be documenting ever single moment of our day in words and photos.

I just got the same Universal book two days ago. It was pretty helpful since now I know all the attractions that are at Universal, but it is nothing like Disney guide books. It was pretty annoying how they put down Disney too.

We are really looking foward to Universal and are planning 2 days there too. I am wondering how to approach the whole Harry Potter area too. We will probably get there at park opening and if it is too busy just wait until near close. I can't wait to see everything. I love the books and movies.

Yeah, I thought the Disney bashing was completely unnecessary and very unprofessional. Inferiority complex?

Plus that visit was without kids...this time we are bringing kids plus grandparents plus their aunt and uncle and cousin! I'm fairly certain the cousin won't be riding too much...at age 6 he is not very adventurous at all and if forced to ride...you get a crying child that sometimes also vomits. Lovely huh?

Anyway we are introducing our kids to the Harry Potter movies now. We've watched movie 1-5 so far. So we think they'll really get a kick out of the HP stuff....plus they also like Shrek and Suess.

I am sure you have this info somewhere, but what days of the week are you going to US/IOA? I was thinking Tues and Thurs, but my plans flow a bit better if we go Sat. and Thurs. Have you heard of a big difference between weekends and weekdays?

We are going Tuesday, Wednesday and then maybe an extra day later on. I am just assuming that earlier in the week = lesser crowds. That time of the year there could be school trips which would be likely to happen on a Friday or weekend. Also locals probably go more on a weekend.

We will probably do Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday. However I looked at the ticket prices today and realized a 3-day pass is just a few dollars more. We may have to get that and then even try to squeeze in a few hours on Wednesday, which is a full day before the rest of the family is due to arrive (right now they plan to drive down Thursday).

WWOHP looks so cool! I hope lines don't make any problems for you all. Ollivander's would be really fun. If you are chosen, do you get to keep the wand? Are you going to buy a Slytherin scarf or a Gryffindor scarf?

I wish we had bought the three day tickets from the beginning but alas we only purchased two day tickets. From what I have gathered on the Universal boards it should be a simple process to upgrade the tickets and we should only have to pay the difference. We will find out in May I suppose!

I hope since we are going before Memorial Day and school will still be in that the crowds won't be too bad. I think it is really luck of the draw.

You can keep the wand but you of course have to pay for it. A bit sneaky of them isn't it because who wouldn't want to pay for the wand if they are chosen for the show. It is pretty much a guaranteed sale.

Hmmm, good question. Maybe I will get a Ravenclaw scarf.

I think WWoHP would be fun for everybody but fans of the books and movies will find so much enjoyment there because of the high level of detail they put into that section of the park.
