do you have to roll it up in canada, around me you can just take your bucket to the bank and use the handy dandy little counter machines for free and cash it in for hard bills.

We have those coin machines but not at the bank, they are at the grocery store and you pay a fee.

i see then i would roll em as well...i bet they will get em soon, as our banks seem to be popping up with them more and more around us.

So im headed to florida to visit my BFF and we are planning at least a day trip to WDW, sometime between May 14th and 17th. I'd love to see if we can at least say HI!

Great job on saving so much in change! I always pay for everything with my debit card so my change jar never really gets full. I however steal DH's change when I do his laundry, but I have to beat Caitlin to it b/c she is also a change stealer. I think I collected maybe $75 in the last few months.

:thumbsup2 Nice changes.

Looks like a great time ahead! Congrats to being done with your school work, time for a well deserved break.

I have been hesitant to ride it as I get easily motion sick and I have heard that this ride is really good for that. So I will probably just try the easy side. ;)
I don't do well on spinning rides, but have no problems with Mission Space. If you decide to step out on the "wild side" just make sure you follow the directions....head back at all times and focus directly on your monitor instead of looking around. :thumbsup2 I always do this and never have any problems.
I wrote my last exam of the school year yesterday so I am class and homework free for the next 4 1/2 months! :woohoo:

Only 25 days until vacation!
Okay, so like I got waaaay behind again, but congrats on finishing up classes!!! :woohoo:

I was happy to see the two Fantasmic showings as well. We always try and go the later showing when possible, not as crowded, don't need to wait as long and the park is usually pretty empty as most are in the theatre watching the first show.
Yep, that seems to always work best for us too!

I suspect that they changed the hours because of crowds but on all of our past trips this has happened and we get there and have no problems, perhaps that is because I am an expert park planner. ;) Heck, we went over the Fourth of July and had a great time with little to no crowd impact. :thumbsup2
It can definitely be done with good planning, around July 4th and even around Christmas!
Let the good times roll!! :rotfl:;):rotfl:
:rotfl:
I have a grandson who collects change :lmao:No rolling at my house :lmao:
Change.....is good! ;)

There are some banks that are sating to put them in. In the part of Toronto I live in there is one that is about a 30 minute walk from my house in a brand new BMO. Apparently all of the new ones opening are getting them. They will deposit the money in to your account or give you the cash for it.

Lessa, Beth and family, I hope you are all having a wonderful and blessed Easter!!!

Thanks! I am so glad to be on summer vacation, I just wish they would hurry up and post the marks so that I can forget about school for the summer!

I will remember that. :thumbsup2

Interesting, we are always a few years behind Toronto so I'll start looking for those in 2013. ;)

Thanks for the Easter wishes! Mom and I spent the Easter Weekend with our family in Ohio, Alek and Erich could not go because of school and work, ended up working out because the car was so packed full of stuff on the way back that there would not have been room for them. We left for Toledo around 2am on Friday morning and we just got back tonight around 6pm. I'll post later and share stories and pictures. :thumbsup2

:wave2: LTNS! Trip is getting close. You all must be getting excited!

Mom and I spent Easter Weekend in Toledo visiting family (my grandparents and my uncle and his family). We left early in the morning on Good Friday (2am). It is about a 7 hour drive to Toledo and the drive was uneventful other than the cd I had burned not working in the car. Luckily we had other music so we did not have to drive in silence. We always cross the border at Windsor/Detroit.

I think Detroit must be the most beautiful city in the world....

Once we arrived in town we went straight to the mall, I had to get my shopping on! I ended up with two new pairs of flip flops, a new dress and two new shirts. I was tempted to buy a Bambi shirt but I really don't wear my Disney shirts all that often so I passed. After shopping we crossed the street for lunch at the Olive Garden, yum!

Then a quick stop at Target and we were off to the Grandparent's house. Mom had told me that they may want us to go to church with them that weekend so I had packed a church outfit, I was expecting to go on Saturday or Sunday, not on the rainy and cold Friday. We pulled into the driveway at 1:15 and Grandpa came out and ushered us into the house and told us we were going to the 2pm service. I have never gotten ready so quickly in my life!

We got to the church on time, Grandma was already there as she had been helping out at the church all day. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that everybody was wearing black, I was wearing pink, I didn't stick out at all! My grandparent's attend a Greek Orthodox Church despite the fact that we do not have a drop of Greek blood. So there I was in a sea of Greeks dressed in black and I stuck out in my pink church outfit. :rolleyes1 Luckily Grandma and Grandpa always sit in the back pew so I didn't have a ton of people staring at me!

The church service was interesting, very traditional. Afterwards Grandma took me upstairs so I could get pictures of the church.

We headed back to the house after that only to leave again in search of a new KitchenAid stand mixer. Ours broke a few months ago and we needed a new one. They are super expensive in Canada though, they tend to start around $500, in the States we could get one for $350!

After that we just relaxed back at the house. I taught my grandparents how to use their DVD player and also their DVR. The DVR lesson happened by accident, they didn't even know they had a DVR or what it does until I went into the family room to see if they got The CW so I could watch Smallville. ;)

The next morning was a shopping morning. The day dawned sunny and warm, hurray! I had been hoping that all the magnolia trees would be in bloom but sadly they were not, only a few trees were flowering. Toledo is so pretty in the Spring, especially my grandparents' neighbourhood, it is covered in magnolia trees and is a sea of pink when they are all in bloom.

Mom, Grandma and I met up with Aunt Christine and our cousin Caroline and went to an outdoors shopping mall. The only purchase I made on this shopping trip was a Vera Bradley bag. I am going to use it as my new school bag, much prettier than my old backpack.

After shopping we dropped Aunt Christine and Caroline off at home, I would be going back over there in the evening for dinner and to watch Harry Potter.

Back at Grandma's house she taught me how to make gelatin Easter Eggs, a family recipe that is over 100 years old. They were pretty easy to make and turned out really pretty and yummy!

After the eggs it was time for me to go back over to Uncle Jim's house. Mom was staying behind for her special dinner of chicken livers that Grandma always makes her. Yuck!

Andrew, Caroline and I headed down to Penguin, an ice cream shop, as per family tradition. We go here every year and have for as long as I remember. We even went here for ice cream when Aunt Christine and Uncle Jim got married, the whole wedding party pulled up in limos and indulged in some ice cream treats.

Back at the house Aunt Christine and I talked Jane Austen movies and Colin Firth while Caroline recited word for word the entire Harry Potter movie while it played. I like Harry Potter but she LOVES it!

We played a game of Apples to Apples and munched on pizza and then I left as they had to get up early for Easter Sunday Service.

Back at Grandma's house we spent the evening watching the King's Speech, great movie!

The next day was Easter Sunday and the entire family we going over to Uncle Jim's house for the day. We arrived around noon and got busy with the gelatin eggs, laying them out in the proper presentation, they were beautiful!

Caroline and I also played around with my camera. I like to say it is a Caroline proof camera as she is always spilling things on electronics, or dropping them, etc. Well, I would like to see her break this camera!
