I can't believe you are going in a week?!?!?!?!??!! That sure did come up fast. I've been out of the loop the last couple of weeks--work has been a zoo...nonstop (I finally took the day off yesterday because I needed a break). And I've also been busy...make ressies for DISNEY! Yes, we decided we could swing a few days before Marco Island because we didn't have to pay taxes this year like the last couple of years. We're going HOME (to CSR, of course).

Well, I really should be packing an overnight bag for the 4 of us right now, we are headed up to Stillwater for a baseball tournament, but I just had to pop on to say.......

ONE MORE WEEK!!!!!!

One week from right now, I'll be boarding a plane headed for Orlando! Woo Hoo!

Ahhhhh, Eskimo Joe's! Ate there myself yesterday, it just wouldn't be a trip to Stillwater without going to Joe's for some cheese fries!

I know! I'm torn between being excited and being stressed with everything I need to do. I really need to sit down tonight and make a daily list for this week, make sure I've got everything covered.

One good thing - Justin's baseball team lost early today (I know - I shouldn't say that that is a good thing!), which allowed me to get home and get laundry started so I'll have less of it to do tomorrow. That frees up tomorrow to finish up some last minute shopping - gotta go to Target and visit the travel size aisle!

It's getting so close! My Mom's office is very close to a Disney Store, so I'm going up on Tuesday to have lunch with her and we are going over to the mall to buy her park pass

It's getting so close! My Mom's office is very close to a Disney Store, so I'm going up on Tuesday to have lunch with her and we are going over to the mall to buy her park pass

Yay for getting her pass. It will be exciting, and this trip will be very real, when you have that in your possession!

I even let the school cook breakfast for my son today, I took him a little early so he'd have time to eat.........Wow, that's really bad of me isn't it?!

Well, I really planned on making my post about our next trip rather short - but it's impossible for me to narrow down which pictures I want to use, so this is going to be loooooooooong

Our second trip with the kids came in October of 2006. We really had not planned on returning so quickly, and truth be told, it was probably my pushing of this trip that turned Don into the Disney Grump.

We had friends that were going, and one day while I was out shopping with my friend we started talking about how much fun it would be for all of us to go together. Well the more we talked about it the better the idea sounded, but Don wasn't biting. He didn't want to go on another big trip on the heels of the one we had taken the year before. He was way outnumbered though, myself, our kids, our friends, our friends kids were relentless and he basically had to agree just to keep from being the bad guy who ruined everyone's fun. Looking back on it, even though most of this trip was a blast, it was probably not a good idea to push him into it, it was after this trip that he started talking about never going to WDW again.

Anyway - we did go, October 14th-21st.

It is also worth noting that before this trip is when I happened across the DISboards. Before making our ADRs, I did a google search for menus and the DIS was one of the sites that popped up. I lurked during the planning stages, but joined shortly after our return.

October 14th - arrival day:

My friend has a fear of flying, so they drove and therefore arrived a day later than we did. We stayed at CBR, and were in the Jamaica section. It was lovely and we really enjoyed this resort, our stroll across the bridge to the food court and main swimming pool was beautiful. Some pictures of the resort - taken throughout the trip

Anyway, after we arrived and got checked in to the hotel we took off for MK. Justin was still bummed that he had missed dinner at Crystal Palace the year before, so I had made an ADR for our arrival night. I don't remember what we did other than have dinner, but I do remember that it was fun and the boys loved Pooh & the gang!

October 15th:

Don was taking a couple of classes at the time of this trip and he had a paper that he had to finish, so the boys and I left him at the hotel to work on his paper while we went to the Magic Kingdom. Lots of great character interactions on this morning!

When Don got to the MK I remember him being in an awful mood, he just didn't want to be there and we soon got into a fight about something. I told him if he was going to be in a bad mood the whole trip he should just get on a plane and go home. I was soooooo ready for our friends to arrive! They did, right around lunch time, and things improved quite a bit!

We took an afternoon break, then had dinner at Chef Mickey's. This was our second time to eat at CMs, this time was less chaotic than the first, but we still never met Mickey, and the food was average at best. Don't think we'll ever eat there again.
