Flowers and Firsts - A May 2010 PTR, 5/13 TR started! Link on pg 39

First of all, I am very sorry to hear about your Grandmother! I will say many extra prayers for her tonight. I know it is so hard for you, but time will help I am sure.

I am glad that you made it back for Easter. You are making me so not looking forward to my son's sports days in the future! 12 midnight?! I was so impressed that the boys were up and smiling for early mass! What a good parents they have :thumbsup2

I am sure that the boys appreciated their "buckets". I really love that extra large reeces egg and the MONEY is always nice for them. Thanks for sharing your pics, looks like you had a great day!

Beautiful Easter pictures, Michelle! Sounds like you had an absolutely lovely holiday! We scaled back on Easter baskets this year as well -- the contents of our baskets look very similar!

Say! Looks like your Easter was fun even if the boys are "less" into it :) It is still fun, though! I love getting the baskets all "arranged"

Nice family pics!!! BASEBALL UNTIL ALMOST MIDNIGHT???!!! HARD CORE GUYS! :goodvibes Well obviously they enjoy it!

What great Easter pics! I've cut back a lot on my Easter goodies too. I used to go all out but then found that a lot of it (with the exception of the candy) just kinda got sat to the side and forgotten. I bet your boys were super excited to see the money in the plastic eggs. I would have asked if I could hunt too!

Yeah, the money keeps the interest up for sure! I got the idea from my SIL, her mom did that for them all through high school to keep them interested in hunting eggs. I'd go on an egg hunt too if I knew there was money hidden inside! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a beautiful family-filled Easter day! :goodvibes

So sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing.

Thanks, Michelle. I appreciate that

Easter was a pretty good day!

What great photos. Has anyone ever told you that your DH looks a little like Brett Favre?

Yes! As a matter of fact I have been told that before! Wish he had Brett Favre's money as well :lmao:

Thanks Katie, I really appreciate the prayers.

It made for a very fast trip up north, but I was determined to get home to celebrate Easter with the boys. And, yep, it was midnight when we pulled into the driveway! I told Don that night that sometimes I wished that our kids stunk at sports because they were exhausting  Really, most of the time I love watching them play, but it does get to be a bit much sometimes.

Is that not the biggest Reese's egg you've ever seen? I had to buy them when I saw them, and I may have had a slice off of Jared's yesterday...... :rolleyes1

Beautiful Easter pictures, Michelle! Sounds like you had an absolutely lovely holiday! We scaled back on Easter baskets this year as well -- the contents of our baskets look very similar!

It was a lovely day, I was even able to take my mom into putting away the china and letting us eat off of paper plates so we'd have less clean up :thumbsup2

Sounds like alot of us scaled back some this year! The boys only got one small gift each, Jared the DVD and Justin had an itunes gift card in his basket.

Say! Looks like your Easter was fun even if the boys are "less" into it :) It is still fun, though! I love getting the baskets all "arranged"

Nice family pics!!! BASEBALL UNTIL ALMOST MIDNIGHT???!!! HARD CORE GUYS! :goodvibes Well obviously they enjoy it!

I enjoy arranging the baskets too - trying to get it all to fit just so, like they really even care, they just tear right into them!

Oh, you've no idea on the baseball thing! Both boys practice 2 nights a week and typically play tournaments 3 out of 4 weekends a month. Of course, they are never off at the same time, so we are at a ballpark nearly every weekend. Justin's 'little league' will be over this summer when he starts school ball - it's going to be like a vacation, he will be playing so much less. Of course, I've got many years before Jared is done......

Aww, sorry to hear your boys are outgrowing Easter. Patrick is holding fiercely to his belief in the Easter Bunny/Santa/Tooth Fairy!! I had bought a package of the small Reeses Eggs and when Patrick saw it in the cupboard after they had their hunt yesterday he questioned them and I told him I had bought them at the store. He then realized they had gotten the big eggs and since they were different than what I had bought, his indeed must have come from the real thing! Every holiday I think that will be it but so far the end hasn't come yet. (although if he knew money was the next version, he might be willing to let go of his beliefs :lmao:)

Today when I checked my mail and got a wonderful surprise..........

I GOT MICKEY MAIL!!!! :mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

IMG_3360.jpg

It came from my TA, so it was everything - the ME vouchers (which I will NOT forget this time), ME tags, luggage tags and my booklet with the photopass card, my package details and all the vouchers.

It so exciting, no denying we are going now! :woohoo:

She also sent a big booklet on the Disney Cruise Lines and an Adventures by Disney DVD - can't wait to look through all that!

Sounds like a great Easter Michelle!:goodvibes

I love the photo of you and Don...isn't it great when the kids are able to snap photos so that you can actually get in a few pictures together - LOL!

My 6yr old is actually a better picture-taker than her father now!

And whooo hooo for Mickey Mail!!! We got ours too, but unfortunately as we have room-only reservations this time, we didn't get the luggage tags.:sad2:

Yay for Mickey Mail! I got an e-mail from my TA saying she will be sending mine tomorrow :cool1:

I've enjoyed catching up on your PTR, Michelle. Great pics as always!

So sorry to hear about your grandmother although as many other posters have said I can relate to your loss before they're really gone. Experiencing that now with my Mom.

I laughed about the Easter egg hunts because I think it's what all moms do - try to hold on to our traditions as long as we possibly can. :thumbsup2 And you know what, I think those rascals secretly still enjoy it all too! Especially when there's cash involved.:lmao:

The good news is when the grandkids come along you can experience it all over again and it's twice as much fun!

Michelle,

So sorry to learn about the loss of your grandmother. My own grandmother passed after a long battle with Alzheimer's and in many ways it was a relief.

All I can think of is what a blessing she was able to spend Easter in heaven with our Lord!

For a snack I'm really hoping that they still have the yummy cinnamon almonds that we had in December.

This is my DH's absolute favorite WDW snack! The aroma of those roasted nuts is irresistable!

Hi Michelle! I am all caught up now.
I'm sorry for your loss, it is always hard when someone leaves us. :sad1:
Your baseball season and Easter events kept you busy! We are getting into the baseball season, this week the games start!
Yay for the Mickey mail! :woohoo: It is always an exciting envelope to open!! It is getting to close!

It is kinda sad. Justin believed longer than Jared, I guess having an older brother takes a bit of the innocence off of things. I have told both boys that as soon as they start saying 'there is no Santa' to me, then "Santa" will stop coming - to date Justin has never uttered those words in front of me, Jared likes to test the waters though

Hurray for the Mickey Travel Mail!!! That means your trip will be here before you know it!!!

I know! I'm so excited! Mom called me on her way home from work last night and I excitedly told her that our Mickey Mail had arrived - she didn't understand :sad2:

Cute Easter pics! And yay for Mickey Mail! :woohoo:

Thanks Kayce - we're getting so close now! I bet Bella is beside herself with excitement.

Gotta love Mickey mail. :)

There is no better mail to get :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great Easter Michelle!:goodvibes

I think Justin probably takes better pictures than Don does as well! Don is always so far away - I have to crop everything!

Oh, that's too bad you didn't get the luggage tags - they're pretty cute.

Yay for Mickey Mail! I got an e-mail from my TA saying she will be sending mine tomorrow :cool1:

Just a few more days for you then!

It is so hard to let go of the little boys I had not so long ago! On the one hand, I hate that they are growing up, but on the other it is rewarding to see them mature and change and face new challeges.

I decided that if money would get them out there hunting eggs, then I would put money in them - and yes, Justin would never let on like he enjoys it, but I'd bet he does :thumbsup2

Exactly! With her mind in tact, smiling down on those of us she loved. :goodvibes

This is my DH's absolute favorite WDW snack! The aroma of those roasted nuts is irresistable!

How I never noticed them before this last trip I'll never know, you could smell them anytime you got anywhere near one of the carts! Yum!

Hooray! Mickey Mail is always a thrill!! ::MickeyMo

Have you watched the DVD yet?!

Kathy

I haven't - didnt' want to deal with Don rolling his eyes at me  He's out of town most of next week so I'll be able to watch in peace then!

Yeah, I would guess you guys would start baseball a bit later than us just because of the weather - we've been playing for a month already. One month down, 4 to go
