We did a concert at Flower and Garden years ago and got great seats in stand-by.
I see they now offer a dinner package with preferred seating.
Is this recommended?
Should we expect a wait like the Christmas processional to get in?

Also, it appears it is not a prepaid meal like the Christmas Processional and there is not a special pricing listed.
So wondering how we can find out how much the upcharge is for the Garden Rocks package?

I think it depends how popular the band you want to see are, and how close you want to get to the stage. If Disney can put a price on something now, they usually will…

I’ve never felt the need to do this. Last time we just hung out at one of the picnic tables at the American pavilion. Couldn’t really see the band but could hear everything. It was nice and relaxing!

We've done the concerts standby and get good seats (to us). From what I've seen, the reserved area for these concerts when it is offered, is the front covered seating area.
Crowds will depend on who it is, and even day of the week. The first show seems to be the most crowded/longest line to get in. We prefer either of the 2 later shows, and try to be in line 20-30 standby line min early. But I'm not sure if we've seen the most popular of concerts. ;-) If it's someone really popular and you want to be sure to get a good seat, you may want to arrive earlier.
For the last 2 shows they will let standby in about 15-20 min before showtime so we like to be in line for that. I *think* for the 5:30pm show they let people in earlier than that.
