We are doing the REAS package so we are already needing to book our 2.5 yr old twice just for that (Palo and massage). That would only leave us with one more time slot for us to have "parent time". We are not going to leave her there alot (it is a family vacation afterall) but would like a few more options. Is this possible?

We asked & received every night on our cruise for our 16 mo old back in July 01 . . . did end up cancelling one night whan my mom volunteered to watch all 5 grandkids the night the adults went to Palo. Just ask for the time slots you want; the worst thing that can happen is they'll say no!

We had the opportunity on the Jan 22nd cruise but kept it to three with our 2 year old. Of course her grandmother took her a couple of nights too.

Hi,
So is the rule 3 times per family? Or is this an unwritten rule? We have late seating for dinner (first seating is sold out) and we will have a 22 month old who normally eats at 6-6:30 and goes to bed at 8:00 PM. I have visions of her melting down during dinner :sad2: everynight. I wouldn't want her to ruin our tablemates dinners. We also have a will-be just turned 5 year old with us. I am hoping she will do okay with eating late or at least she can go to dinner with the Club if she wants to.

I am hoping to sign up for Flounder's Reef at least for a few dinners (we can feed our Toddler at 6:00 from Room Service or one of the pizza, or Hot Dog places.

Do we sign up for Flounder's Reef as soon as they board? Will they only take 3 reservations?

Thanks, Sue

When we cruised, I made it to FR at about 1:40 on the 1st day and I was the 9th person who signed up on the list. I put an x on every day of the cruise. Although you didn't find out until they called you in the afternoon, I got every evening that I asked for. We also asked for & received one afternoon, that I ended up cancelling for a spa appointment I couldn't get.

However,

We were in a cat 3 cabin. About 3 - 4 months prior to our cruise, making FR reservations was something that the concierge dropped from their services. From reading trip reports , there were some unhappy people who were expecting this kind of help with FR reservations who didn't get this assistance. This is speculation on my part, but it's possible concierge guests were getting all the FR reservations they asked for as a sort of hidden perk. I don't have any explanation other than this as to why I got a spot in FR for all 7 nights of the cruise.

I believe they will try to give you at least 3 nights. And if it's like the cruise I went on you can request as many as you like. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replys! Suesings- I, too, will have a 2 1/2 year old and a just turned 4 (while on the cruise). We could not get early seating...they normally eat at 6pm and go to bed at 8pm. Guess we have the same "problems".

My TA has just told me that FR only lets you sign up 3 times when you board to ensure each guest gets a spot. However, you can call anytime to see if there are openings. I guess we won't know for sure about this until we get on the ship. It does seem like most people get the times they request, especially if you have a Palo reservation.

Are you on the Oct 22 cruise by chance?

Hi suesings and afoss,

With a four y.o. daughter and one y.o. son also stuck with a late seating, I'm in the same boat as well (pun intended). You might want to read my thread on late vs. early seatings, though it might depress you further!

Our friend signed up for everyday and highlighted her first three choices...the CM said that was fine but not all nights are guaranteed.....they called each day and told them that had the ressies for that night....so they were able to use all the nights for the week.

I think they say 3 so everyone has a chance, but if space is available they will definately take you more than 3 nights.
