Flounder Nursery

I have booked my 10 hours allowed, that only gives us 2 shore excursions on the Western Cruise, and 3 ports AND Palo's...how hard is it to get time once on board??? Reservations for Palos have to be cancelled 2 days prior to sail date, how do I know if I'll get Flounders??? Anyone have suggestions???

we've never had a problem ever getting exactly the days and times we wanted at Flounders.....I would make it a priority to book the specific times you want upon boarding....also, you should be able to get many more hours at Flounders...on our 7 day cruises, we booked our DS for about 25 hours total.....

should go there first thing, when you board!

i sent my DH there, while i went for palo ressies. (this was prior to online booking!) had walkie talkies with us, and gave the times/days we wanted to DH, and we just booked it. the walkie talkies were for in case i or he couldn't get the times/days we wanted...we just needed to double check on another day/time. but never had to use it, cuz i finished before he did!

The last time that we were on board in 2003, we were allowed to book 3 times initially. Then, we could waitlist for any other day. We waitlisted for every night from 8pm - mid and we were called every night with an opening. So, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless there is an unusually large amount of babies & toddlers on your cruise, you should be fine.

The number of babies/toddlers on board will definitely make a big difference.

Some extream examples include the repo trips. We were on the May Repo to CA and there were only about 30 children on board eligable for the nursary. That was so way below average that if DS started causing problems during dinner, we were able to run him up to the Flounders without any reservations (they always had room). For those on the return repo trip, don't expect the same. The last rumor I heard from the staff was that there is expected to be about 120 children on board eligable for the nursary.
