Florist recommendations

I am trying to figure out who I want to use for my florist. Any recommendation are welcome. If you have pictures and prices for what you got that would be even better

We're doing our own flowers now, but I can tell you that I was surprised at the lack of response I got from local florists when I tried to get information.

Lee Forrest comes highly recommended here, but it took almost a week for him to reply to my first inquiry, and then when I emailed him back with follow-up questions, I never heard from him again.

Vintage Vines called me to ask for photos of what I had in mind after I emailed them for information, which I thought was great. What wasn't so great was that after I sent the photos, the owner emailed me and asked me to call her on her cell, which I did, and she didn't pick up, nor did she return my call after I left voice mail.

Emily from Charming Events was different, though. She was very prompt to email me, and after I told her what we were looking for, she was very honest and said that what I wanted in fresh would be very expensive and that silk was probably the best way for me to go. But she invited me to contact her if we decided to use fresh, and I definitely would -- she was great to deal with, very professional.

And of course my Disney floral planner Elizabeth has been nothing short of fantastic. We're working with her on linens for our reception and will likely add some small things to the ceremony as well.

Hope that helps a bit -- hopefully others will add their experiences.

I have not had my VR yet but I am using 'Petals by design' - they come highly reccommended and the samples of their work I have seen are stunning. I am not having one of the 'stock' bouquets shown, but have given them directions on what I want for my and my daughter's bouquets, the men's boutineers and the floral decor. I went with Amy from Blossoms Orlando. I wasn't too picky about my flowers. She was very quick in getting back with me (usually) and she had great prices.

On the day of my wedding, she showed up right on time, everything was perfect, and she had no problem with going to the WP to lay petals down the aisle and then going to the California Grill to put petals on the tables. Everything was perfect.
