I just came back from WDW and the heat was a lot for me. Also it rained everyday we were there, each day starting around 4pm.

I have plane tickets booked that I have to cancel by tomorrow to not lose money. I have my room booked. I have my MM tickets secured for Sept 1 HS. I have an AP, which I probably wont renewer awhile so this is our chance to utilize it.

Our plan was to do pools during the day and visit the parks a couple hours each night and attend MM.

Do you think the heat August 30 through MM Sept 1 will be significantly worse than what I experienced over Memorial Day weekend? Or is it once you reach 90 it all feels the same type situation?

If you have been to a MM during this time of year did you get rained out? If so, what happened?

Lastly I know you all aren't meteorologists and even meteorologists cant predict the weather, just here for honest opinions if you think there is high potential for an absolutely miserable trip.

I have no advice, but I’m following! I’m contemplating a birthday trip around the same time. I’ve only visited November-early June in the 32 years we’ve been going to WDW. Anxious to read what others have to share.

Hopefully we both learn something and hopefully we learn we will be okay and to just go :)

At this time of year it’s hot and you can expect rain everyday. If you are unlucky you may have the joy and fun of a hurricane experience. There is a reason why the points required to stay at resorts this time of year is low. Get up early to enjoy parks/ pool before it gets too hot,

I've lived in south Florida 90% of my life and been to WDW many times. Above 90F its all the same to me. Embrace the sweat and stay hydrated. It'll be a bit more humid compared to May, which isn't fun. We go summer and September for our trips because of scheduling and crowds. Its hot; but its also hot at the beach or anywhere for that matter.

We were there July4th last year for a week and again Labor Day weekend and I thought it was slightly cooler in September but I’d imagine the temps won’t feel dramatically different once you hit those high numbers…humidity can make it more stifling though. It was pretty sunny in July and the all out sun made it hard to be out in the afternoon in the parks but a UV umbrella and good handheld fan does help a lot. I think in September because it rained more, it felt like the temps cooled off a bit with the cloud cover…humidity might have been more though.

I think if you’re mentally and physically prepared, ie. umbrella, fans, silicone shoe covers (game changers tbh), lots of cold water, you’ll have a great time. Don’t over do it in the parks in the daytime and enjoy the resorts and pools.

Might as well go since everything is booked. If you find you hate it, chalk it up to a learning experience and never again. Oh it’s also destination D23 that weekend too, isn’t it? Should be a fun info-filled weekend to be in the parks. Maybe if there’s still tickets left you can add a day for that, if you have time.

I know it’ll be too late to cancel anything at this point but we’re potentially planning an end of July trip, so I’ll update then too to see if we feel any differently if we go.

I believe we were in WDW at the same time last weekend. I found it to be unusually warm for May. I think it was going to drop into the 80s after MD. Anyway, I say go for it. We always go the third week of August because of the camp/school schedule. It will be hot but you got good practice last weekend!

Yes it is D23 that weekend.

Do you have silicone cover you love? I have a pair but they just fit weird, typically I am always wearing converse shoes so maybe its the shape of my shoes.

Happy to hear this. I can handle again what we experienced last weekend but much more im not sure.

I will be there that weekend as well, maybe we should meet up and you can tell me in person how hot you think it is! 😜 I'll share my brownie a la mode with you from Beaches and Cream. One of the best desserts in all of Disney IMO.
It will be hotter than May, but not by some significantly measurable degree. It will rain every day, and you will be damp the entire time. Summer in Fl is no joke, but as long as you drink lots of water and take breaks you should be fine. Oh and sunscreen, wear lots of sunscreen.

The part in bold honestly sounds terrible. 🤣

I’ve only ever tried one. I’ll link it here if it lets me but they were great if strange to walk in for the first few minutes. We kept an empty plastic bag in our backpacks to store them when it wasn’t raining.

That would be super fun. Are you at BCV that weekend? We will be at CCV

It doesnt help me that I only wear jeans 🥵
