Florida Turnpike Question

Does the Florida Turnpike use an automated toll system? We have one in Massachusetts and were wondering if it could be used for the Florida Turnpike. Has anyone had experience with this or know where I could find more info.

Every state has its own system, so what works in MA won't work in FL or NY or PA for that matter. If this is a one-time trip, you're better off paying cash. FL does have a system, but I don't see how it's worth the effort to pay for it unless you live there.

The MA system does work with a few other states, but does not work with Florida. It would have been so easy to bring our transponder but that is not the case. Thanks for the info.
