Florida Town Car

has anyone ever used this service? Some friends of ours recommended it.


We knew we were in for trouble when they were late picking us up from the airport. About 45 minutes. After we gathered our luggage DH was giving them 10 more minutes and we were going to hop on Mears. The driver was fine. Not chatty at all. In fact, did not speak one word to us. Creepy!! I actually had thoughts of "what are we doing in this car with this strange man? How will we escape if he's a psycho?" I had a stomach ache until I saw our hotel.

I didn't want to use them on departure but DH wasn't as creeped out as I.
They did pick us up upon check out. The same driver. Dropped us off at the gate. Okay. Everything was find.....until.....

we arrived home and we had FIVE messages from Florida Towncar. All of them saying they were trying to reach us and that no one with our name was registered at the Beach Club. One guy actually said, "if that is your real name." Hello! You just dropped us off at WDW!!!

ANyone else had this kind of experience? We'll never use them again.

I have used them, I like them and have never had a problem with them.
As to calling the resort. You cannot know how many times that happens to us at OKW. It was not the driver's fault, it was the Disney operators, they constantly screw this up and that happens to be one of my pet gripes with Disney. It is most annoying when you know another person at another resort and try to call them and get the same stuff. Dee has missed MANY tennis matches because of this and it becomes VERY annoying.
Sorry for the vent, but, this time it is not Florida Towne Car's fault.

We used Florida Town Cars a few years ago and have not and will not use them again. The car they used to pick us up at the airport was very dirty, on the inside. We paid for the R/T in advance and were never picked up at the GF for the trip to MCO. We made several calls and they kept promising the car was almost at the GF to pick us up. They never showed and the GF people took us to MCO. We barely made our flight.

No, FTC is a different outfit. They've been around for about ten years now, although about five years ago there were so many complaints that most stopped using them. One of the biggest complaints was VERY unsafe driving, followed by dirty cars.

I stopped using them about five years ago, the service quality diminished and drivers were often late. They also drove VERY fast.
