Florida temps

Can anyone comment on January weather as far as how “warm” 70 degrees feels with the Florida humidity?
i’m from New England and leave next week looking at temps high of 69-71. still T shirt weather.
70’s in New Hampshirite can still be pretty cool!

We were there last week. We wore T-shirts and shorts or T-shirts and capris. We are also from New England.

We used to go around this time a lot and I remember the temps being in the 40s and 50s at times and I'd be in shorts while I saw people bundled up in jackets. I'm from New York and like you know what cold is. Take it FWIW but I wouldn't overpack.

I think how "70" feels depends on what temps you are used to right now. If you are from Canada and it's been freezing for weeks, 70 probably feels pretty warm. If you are from the Caribbean and it's been 90, 70 probably feels cold. It's kinda like 60 in the spring is a whole lot different feeling than 60 in September. Drop your thermostat a few degrees and hang out outside more often before your trip and that 70 will feel balmy. lol

thanks that makes sense! we spend plenty of time outdoors in the winter tee so i’m guessing we will do with lighter jackets and my son will prob be in shorts!!

It's not that humid in January. Tomorrow during the day, the humidity is forecast to be in the 30%s.

This morning it's 45 and foggy at 7:50am. Definitely jacket weather if you're just standing around.

Local here. Yesterday afternoon it was around 70. I was fine in a t-shirt and capris. But dh needed a jacket. Last night I was cold and dh was freezing. We had the heat on in our car and the seat warmers.

Being from the PNW, the weather is perfect here right now. Cool mornings that lead into warm but not hot days and cooler evenings. We're loving it. It's like our spring/summer weather. We just bring some layers that we can take off or put back on.

Layers! That’s the way to prepare for Florida in January. One January I rope dropped Animal Kingdom and the temp was 29 F at 7:30 that morning. The next day the afternoon temp was 82 and humid. Pack for any kind of weather, and for huge changes from morning to afternoon to evening.

It's not the humidity. It's the sun.

Clouds and 70, not warm.

That said, do know, it can go way lower than 70 in January, February and even on in to March.
If you are traveling to Disney in these months you better have yourself layers, long pants and long sleeves included.

It’s not about the high temp. It’s the low temp you should look at. High 70, low 60 is a lot different than 70/45. You spend more time near the low than the high.
